Are we ever going to be able to get the LPP again?

To me 9mm makes sense in a 3” 1911 With the officers grip. If I can carry the full size grip 4.25” I just shoot .45. check out a colt defender 9mm for a nice 1911 In 9mm.

I only like the 7.5” with the bisley grip for some reason. I like 4 5/8” barreled plow handles.

Well, I’m confusing something- someone has had a statement about USA powders only; is it Hornady?

Lyman shows their bullets/moulds in my manual. And doesn’t show AA powder. I like the powder manu data; some of the older ones like Accurate Number One are fantastic. They tend to show loads for more/most powders rather than the same few favorites over and over.

In a SAA clone, I’d switch to #2. the loads will be low case fill but it’s not position sensitive at all. Low flash. Good burn. All good. Just the danger of double charge if you don’t pay attention.

That seems odd to me; are you extremely confident in the data? my blackhawks are only 4 5/8.

That’s a light and inconsistent load for #5 in my opinion. I’m loading #2 to higher velocities than 700-750 fps, but you could get there @ std pressure at the top of Tier I loads. @Walkalong replicated my Tier II load with his crony: #2 @ 8 gr, 255gr, lswc going ~830 fps IIRC. #5 is going to...

Have you experimented with the 44 in special cases? It seems like the velocity could be achieved at 240 gr more efficiently.

I don’t understand why would I want to plate a dewc which will probably be fired at 650 fps
