My fiancé is a new shooter and has very tiny hands and short fingers, small enough that she has to H grip my 43. Because of this 42 is on our shopping list. With the advances in ammunition I have no issue with her carrying a .380 if that is what she chooses.

Exactly - Glocks are pretty much holster ready out of the box. I change sights, add the OEM extended slide lock and (in the case of models that come with a grooved trigger) swap in a smooth trigger assembly - anything beyond that is IMO tinkering, NTTAWWT.

Good move on the Ameriglo Hacks - I've been using their pro I-Dots for a few years but recently tried their Hacks on my 19. I like them so much better than I-Dots that I just changed my 43 over to them last week.

I used to use XS Big Dots on several guns and never had an issue with combat hold regulation. Did you purchase the sights and install them, or did the gun come used with them? I'm wondering if they were the wrong sights.

I have the similar Talo New Vaq 3.75" in .45 ACP, and it's very pleasant to shoot. I replaced the chubby, blocky Ruger laminated stocks with ones from Eagle which helped.

Another vote for the Ergo Delta grip - very odd looking but the best J frame grip I've ever found. They're cheap enough to try, too.
