Wolf Primers - Large Rifle / Small Rifle

I've had good luck with the Wolf SRP. All went bang. Haven't tried any of the LR or LP primers yet.

Anyone Reload CMP Greek 30 cal Ammo?

In my Garand, I've reloaded a couple hundred HXP spent cases & have had good results with them. No problems whatsoever. Staked primer crimp was easy to remove, Just prepped the cases the same as always. I used 4064 & 760 powders & Sierra 168gr bullets.

Do you reload for other people?

No. I do not handload/reload for others. My handloads are loaded for my guns and shot only in my guns.

    winchester 760 powder in .223?

It's too slow for .223. According to the Winchester Reloading Guide, 760 is a duplicate for the .30-06 Springfield factory load ballistics (using Winchester components) and is recommended for ,22-250, ,300 Win Mag as well as .300 WSM.

223 Rem with SMK 69g and Varget

I like 24.0 gr of Varget under a 69gr #1380 Sierra in my 16" & 24" AR's (1:9 twist). I'll dig up a target & post it. You might also want to consider using Ramshot TAC powder under the same bullet. Here's a target I shot almost a year ago using TAC. I know it's almost a year old, but I've...

    AR 15 1 in 9 twist reload

My 1:9 twist barrels didn't like the Hornady 75gr AMAX bullets. Too heavy for the 1:9 twist. The 75 gr AMAX would do better if I had a 1:7 twist barrel. You can load 75gr AMAX's to feed from the magazine, but you have to back down your powder charge and seat the bullets so they don't exceed max...

    Reloads in AR

My AR's have only used handloads for the last five years. I get a lot of satisfaction & relaxation out of loading my own ammo.

    AR 15 1 in 9 twist reload

Both my AR's like the 69 gr #1380 Sierra and Ramshot TAC powder.

Reloading Bench Ergonomics & Work Flow

My bench is lagged to the wall studs and has legs that angle from the front, down to the base of the wall. I don't have my press bolted to the benchtop, it's bolted to a 1" thick piece of oak board and the board is c-clamped to the benchtop. Anything that is normally bolted to the bench is...

My guns were lost in the break-in. Records were stolen. I still participate in the forums tho.

    Reloading for AR-15

One of my favorite .223 Rem loads is: A 69gr Sierra #1380 HPBT over 24.5 gr of Ramshot TAC. 1/9 twist

LEE FCD crimp die for rifles.

I crimp all my rifle handloads using factory crimp dies. Been doing it for years. Using FCD's will provide consistant tension between the bullet and the case. I like factory crimp dies because they crimp straight in at 90 deg to the case. I can also adjust the depth of the crimp and FCD don't...

    tumbler question

I clean my brass as follows: I use a Frankford Arsenal tumbler. I use corncob media. I can usually tumble about 2,000 rounds before I see the lustre fade on the cases, then I'll add one capfull of Flitz polish to the media & that will bring back the 'new-brass' look for another 2,000 or so...

    Berry's tumblers vs. ???

I've had a Franklin tumbler for 4 yrs. Probably ran 8K rounds thru it & no problems. It's a little noisy but it's fast.

223 Rem Varmint / Target Pet Handloads

The trigger makes a difference in shot placement. I have RRA NM triggers in both my AR's. There are several other good trigger mfgrs as, well as opinions, you may want to consider also.

223 Rem Varmint / Target Pet Handloads

I'm still searching for my best load, but my AR's (1-9 twist) love this one. Chamber: .223 Rem/5.56 NATO Bullet: Sierra #1380 69 gr FMJHP. Case: Win, LC or Rem brass. Primer: WSR Powder: 24 gr. Ramshot TAC OAL: 2.250"
