It says it's for full size M&P's.

Are Glocks really less accurate than XD's?

I thought I remembered XDs getting some quite mixed reviews on accuracy. SA responded by adding "match" barrels to the XDm.

    sub-compact Glock advice...

I can't speak much to the Glock 26 vs 36. I've only shot the 26 and ended up buying the M&P40c. But for a holster I'd absolutely recommend the Comp-tac MTAC. Works great with the glock 26 size guns.

    No Safety or Safety

As the other guys have said finger off the trigger and a good holster. If you really feel more comfortable with a manual safety you could get an M&P with the thumb safety.

    9mm vs 40

The performance of 9mm to .40 is about the same as .40 to .45. But with 9mm to .40 you lose two rounds of capacity, and from .40 to .45 you lose 5 rounds(in my platform of choice). I shoot both 9mm and .40 about equally so to me .40's the perfect compromise in power vs. capacity.

    polymer full size pistol dilema.....

I'm an M&P guy, and would absolutely recommend one, but I also argue that the polymer pistols should be treated as a platform. By getting the Glock 17, you would already be familiar with the fit and function of the gun and also be able to use the same holsters and magazines(17 mags work in the 19).

    Best Low-Range .40 Carry Pistol

I'll second this, love my m&p40c. If he can have him try both, or at least handle both, and see what he likes better.

Best full size .40 S&W handgun?

HK? Hi-power? If you go with another polymer I wouldn't get a glock or XD. Both are fine pistols but they are just to similar to the m&p. I just treat the polymers as a platform. You already have a couple m&p's, if you got a M&P40 FS you would have the advantage of interchangeable...

Let's say... $600 for a new gun, for the heck of it. What would you get?

Eh maybe not for you, but if It was my I'd get an m&p40 pro 5" barrel(I'd probably add apex parts down line, just really want the 5" barrel). If you don't want .40s&w you could do an m&p9 pro 5" barrel.

    glock 23 for ladys?

:banghead: Or just use a holster. You shouldn't be carrying any gun(manual safety or not) in your waistband, loose in your pocket, or loose in a purse/bag. The gun needs to be secure, safe, and in the position you need it to be at all times.

    glock 23 for ladys?

I'm getting the feeling that I was just trolled hard.

    glock 23 for ladys?

It's a handgun. Not rifle. I've seen the same stories with .40s&w & .45acp Shot placement is key. If you don't hit the central nervous system odds are it's not going to immediately incapacitate the target. If you don't knock out the central nervous system, and he still has the will to keep...

    Glock and S&W M&P

My vote goes to the M&P. I'm not a Glock hater, I just shoot the M&P better. They are both fine guns, it really just comes down to personal preference.

    .40 carry... 155 vs 180 HST

I really hate this argument. I wouldn't volunteer to take shots from pellet gun. That doesn't mean pellet guns are an adequate defense weapon. And I'm not arguing for or against WWB(I haven't seen any penetration and expansion tests), just against this retarded argument that seems to be used...

    comp-tac holsters

I'll second this. Great company. Excellent product and excellent order to receive time. I was deciding between this and a crossbreed for my m&p40c, at the time I would have had to wait about a month for the crossbreed. I ordered the M-tac and got about a week later. Very pleased with my...

    S&W M&P45c or M&P9c?

They just released a RAM(reset assist mechanism) yesterday. "The Apex Reset Assist Mechanism (Patent Pending) is a drop in part engineered to improve tactile trigger reset of your M&P pistol." I just got my 40c a couple weeks ago, even stock I love it. Trigger has gotten a whole lot better...
