Anti-Gun Senator shoots intruder in home

Not sure about Boxer, but it's pretty well known that Feinstein had a permit and carried within S.F. city limits.

NH - Man Open Carries At Obama's Speech!

I don't see it that way. I see it as a reminder of who is in charge, or at least who is supposed to be (The People). 1st Amendment and 2nd Amendment being exercise simultaneously. That's excellent. I would have been totally comfortable standing right next to this guy. To assume that this...

Man with a gun at Healthcare debate

Note: The following statement is not intended to disparage LEOs: Too bad this guy wasn't wearing one of those magical blue uniforms with the shiny badge, so that all of the citizens around him would be 100% comfortable with him wearing a sidearm.

    Pit bull

In these "should I shoot the dog" threads, I always find myself wondering why no one considers the option of just putting one into the ground next to the dog. The report alone would probably scare off 99.9% of all dogs.

Can I lose my Carry Permit and 2nd Amendment rights if

Shovelhead has the best post yet. The infrared cameras are very cool, they can see in the dark and the perps don't even know they're being recorded. Calling the landlord and waking them up is EXCELLENT advice, I have done this with great success on several occasions in my apartment-dense...

    Denied buying shotgun

The fundamental question I have is, do you HAVE to have a driver's license to buy a gun? What if, hypothetically, someone who does not have a DL wants to purchase a gun? Anyway, I have taken a few months worth of utility bills with me as proof of residence. I assume this is what the DL is...

Advice from fellow patriots on a personal carry weapon

I'm a huge Sig fan. I have a stainless 226 in .40 caliber. I like the functionality with the decocker, similar to a revolver when you have one in the pipe. It just seems like a really safe way to go. I also just really like the gun, it fits my hand like a glove.

In light of recent events should we lay low?

NRA Should Respond The NRA should be issuing immediate statements when these incidents occur, strongly condemning the actions of the perpetrators, and tactfully explaining how laws won't prevent these types of things. Except of course laws that allow responsible people to carry, and SHOOT...

    P226 YouTube Instruction Incorrect?

I think I agree with you, although I might add that one nice thing about having double action is that you could just pull the trigger again once or twice and see if it works. BTW I absolutely LOVE my P226ST.

Holy cow, a VERY close call!

That guy stood up, and immediately turned around to shake his buddy's hand. I think I would have stood there with my gun pointed at that cat's head for a minute or so, or maybe just plugged him again for good measure. I certainly wouldn't have turned my back like that.

    The Lead Free Ammo Movement

I'm in the electronics industry, and we're being pushed to go lead-free by the Removal of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive enacted by the EU. Lead-free solder has begun to present some problems with reliability, because it is not as soft and will develop fractures during temperature...

School teacher in Wisconsin SUSPENDED for handling firearm

OK, that's a reasonable rule I guess. That said, please tell me how holding a long gun in a photo reflects badly on the school system.

Marine Amputee Acquitted On Gun Possession Charges

Can't say I agree with that. Jury nullification is an excellent, expedient solution when you have legislators creating laws that go against the will of the people, and/or the Constitution.

This should make you all laugh!

You know, the bad guy could have used his cell to call some of his homies, or maybe could have run a few blocks to get them, if he didn't have his cell but had his shoes. I really don't think temporarily confiscating those items was such a bad idea, given the circumstances. The wallet, well...

Geez, how back-stabbing are some people?

1.) I LOVE capitalism! (At least what's left of it) 2.) If you were not politically aware enough to buy your EBR 6+ months ago, well, that's on you. 3.) All of the hand-wringing in the world is not going to stop people from charging market value for their guns. Might as well just accept...

Man arrested at LAX for having guns.

Again, I have not heard of these "vehicle inspection points". How can they search your car without probable cause? I was under the impression that the loop roads through LAX are public thoroughfares. Can they somehow just pull you over and search your car for no reason now?

Man arrested at LAX for having guns.

    Unreasonable search and seizure, maybe?

Man arrested at LAX for having guns.

If you were to use the ease of obtaining a carry permit as a bellwether, then indeed I think you could say O.C. was RKBA friendly, compared to other counties. And Mistwolf, I agree with you 100%. Well said.
