    7prc suppressed barrel length question

A lot of folks who haven't tried it discount the idea of short barrel suppressed magnums, but in my experience if you want the extra power in a shorter package and plan on running a can anyway, using a step larger cartridge size is the way to go. For instance, I probably could have achieved...

    6 ARC Rifle options

I wanted a lightweight 18" ARC for hunting after I shot my heavy 22" for a while. I didn't see too many barrel options so I wound up ordering an 18" rlgs lightweight barrel from X-Caliber during one of their 20% off sales and have been very happy with it for a general purpose and hunting rifle...

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro Chronograph

I found a pretty good stl for a case for my Garmin and printed it, had to size it up a smidge, but it fits well. I actually added my contact info to the inside of the lid so that it's in the print, but blurred it out in the pic. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6399976

Ruger SFAR 308 25yd sight in / shooting review

I like my SFAR, had to send it back right when I got it because the gas block was in contact with the rail, but it's been fine since it came back, and is good for 1" - 1.5" 5 shot groups with hunting bullets. Mine is suppressed all of the time, the factory agb works ok on setting one, but I...

6.8x51 sig hybrid case section view.

Was it just one pass through a .308 die to get the 6.8 sized to .308, or did you have to go in stages? I'm thinking these might be a good fit for my SFAR that's rough on case heads. I'd also be curious how hard it is and what's involved to form these to 6.5 Creed. I have a Sig Cross in 6.5 and...

New Ruger LC Carbine in .45 ACP

Right, a bunch of new PCCs being intro'd and they're all basic blowback, seems lazy when the market's saturated and the Stribog A3 came out with roller delay years ago at a reasonable price.

    Henrys new .223/5.56 rifle

Didn't they already have the Long Ranger? Is this a Long Ranger with internal hammer that takes Stanag mags, or more of a change?

    New S&W 1854 Lever Action .44

The AI image generators are so strange with details sometimes, screws that aren't, magnum belts on pistol rounds, knurled head on the magnum-ish round, and gibberish markings on the scope turrets, generic unidentifiable tool in leather sheath of some sort on the table, just strange.

    PSA Resurrecting the STG-44

Market demand is specific to a price point, PSA swallowed the AR market from the bottom, they were the cheapest decent AR you could get for a long time, and when they started the market was not nearly as competitive as it became after they had their influence. With even the cheapest import MP5...

    PSA Resurrecting the STG-44

Yeah, they missed the boat when that market was wide open, I probably wouldn't invest in developing an MP5 clone now either. Also, the promised micro-dagger has come out, a bunch of slides and the magazine are in stock now, but the frame and complete pistols have been in and out of stock over...

    Email from S&W

Was just coming back here to post this after guessing wrong a few minutes ago. I'm liking it, 44 mag with the right twist, SS and a threaded barrel.

    New S&W 1854 Lever Action .44

Looks like this is what the "Smooth" campaign was about. I'm on board, have been waiting for the new Ruglin 1894s to come out and I like SS better than Cerakote. https://www.smith-wesson.com/1854 Edit: just saw the 19 1/4" barrel... That's really longer than I'd want. Still an interesting...

    Email from S&W

From the duck hunter with something seemingly edited out of his hands and the cowboy, I was thinking shotgun. I don't know how the guy admiring the single shot pistol would fit into that though. Maybe it is something non-firearm like a coffee, clothing line or new service?

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro Chronograph

There are direct comparisons to the LabRadar and others in the 49 page thread on the Garmin in the Hide: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/garmin-xero-c1-pro-chronograph.7189898/page-49 What turned me off from getting a LabRadar was all the accoutrements that folks who had them at...

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro Chronograph

I picked my Xero up a few weeks ago, but just got a chance to try it out a bit today. 10 shots out of a suppressed 22 pistol with me holding and pointing the Garmin in one hand, pistol in the other. Picked up all shots no problem, and the App interface is easy and useful. This thing is a huge...

    Ruger American Gen II

The three position safety is a big win in my opinion, I wish more companies would move to that from the Rem 700 style. The adjustable stock is also a nice functional touch even if it does offend some folks sensibilities, and the shorter threaded barrels save you $150 worth of gunsmith work out...

Sierra 30 cal 165gr Bonded Gameking?

Yeah, makes sense I want to shoot them into some medium at some point, but just moved and don't have my reloading stuff or range set up at the new house, so it will have to wait for a little while. I use TGKs in 6mm, 6.5mm and .30 cal, I'm currently using the 165gr .30s over 40.5gr AR-Comp in...

Sierra 30 cal 165gr Bonded Gameking?

That's what I was curious about when I bought them, but now I'm almost certain they aren't regular TGKs. First, I ordered the 500 pack of TGK blems about a year ago, and PVI's SKU was a direct match for the Sierra SKU for the 165gr TGK (4665) with a PVI added, also the shipping info actually...

Sierra 30 cal 165gr Bonded Gameking?

Today I received what I think are blems of an as of yet unreleased Sierra tipped bonded hunting bullet. I saw this box of 500 "Bonded Polymer Tipped" 30 cal seconds on PV about a week ago with what looked suspiciously like a Sierra pattern SKU...

Is 6.5 creedmore here to stay?

Nope, flash in the pan, just like all these other new fangled brass cased rifle rounds. I'll take my powder in a horn, my bullets round, and my spark from flint, as God intended. Anything else is just Hornady hoodwinking folks into buying components and rifles they don't need.
