    Ted Williams 30-30

Well the TW 30-30 is off to it's new home from Michigan to deep west Texas. I got $350 for it which I thought was fair. The transfer fee was $20 which again I thought was fair but the shipping was $38 and change so overall I lost a chunk out of the sale price. It's all good, I hope the new...

    Ted Williams 30-30

If I had grown up toting it around Michigan I'd keep it. If I can turn the money into the 30/30 I'd rather have then I'll call it a win.

    Ted Williams 30-30

Thanks all, I really have nothing against this rifle except I would like to replace it with a JM Marlin. I have a couple 39As, a .357 1894c, and an 1895cb 45/70 all JMs. I'm not really a snob just always loved the levers and want to stay the Marlin course as much as I can.

    Ted Williams 30-30

mods, I have not been around here for a while, if this is not allowed here just whack it. Thanks I have a really nice Ted Williams 30-30 Model 100 from Sears in the 70s. There is very small spot of rust where water must've gotten under the side scope mount. Being a lefty that's the first thing...

Yeah I've got lefty associates that are all over this.

How do you secure your weapon in your vehicle?

I lock my doors. To get in you'd have to be a POS and break and enter. I have done enough. .

How much are we willing to give up?

... and another thing, the whole "weapons of war" thing is just a smokescreen scare tactic for non gun owners. Just another boogeymen under the bed to intimidate the intimidated. All firearms were once, or are based on, weapons of war.

    Taurus Customer Service

Well f you call customer service about the lawsuit I think they tell you to press one. The tech advice selection puts you in permanent limbo on hold with a recording telling you how much they value you so please stay on the line.. it'll be another minute... you're almost there... we really value...

    Taurus Customer Service

Has anyone ever successfully gotten through to Taurus customer service? Got a inside contact? Guess I don't know the password, total time on hold today was 47 minutes and all I am looking for is a manufacture date. The serial number look-up on their website does not cover a tired old Model 82.

    Taurus 82 lock up

My terminology is obviously lacking. When I apply the test Col Harrumph described the cylinder still has a degree or two to turn before the cylinder stop is actually engaged with the cylinder. It is more obvious when cocking the hammer manually than it is when dry firing DA. I've got feeler...

    Taurus 82 lock up

Hello, I have a beater of a Taurus 82, vintage unknown but I believe we a talking about an "old style" version. This gun is not worth much and it's more of a plaything. It was spitting a little lead from what I believe was a sloppy lock up. The only other revolver I have on hand for comparison...

    Wife's new sp101

Dunno about the 9mm but my wife has a 4" SP101.357 for a bedside piece. She runs 158 gr .38s in it. She has grip strength issues so I installed a Wolff spring kit, did some gentle rubbing on it, and got it down to around 8 lbs DA. She absolutely loves that gun now, the trigger is butter smooth...

    What's wrong with bore snakes??

Some 12-14 years ago in the defensive pistol class I took the instructor recommended quickly using a bore snake before you leave the range. His logic was if a crime had been committed and you were somehow pulled over on the way home, you had a clean barrel. Not gong to argue the logic or lack...

cylinder lock on old style Taurus 82

Had a few wheelguns, ( like 3) in my life. I have successfully had them apart and back together but I still might use terms like doohickey and thingamajig. How much wiggle is too much for a cylinder stop? I have a true beater of a .38 caliber Taurus model 82 as a plaything and test...

WTB old style Taurus 82 Parts in Mich.

I am looking for parts for an old style (pre 99?) Taurus model 82 4” 38 cal revolver. Mostly I am looking for a good cylinder, ejector and yoke assembly but I’d take everything except the frame. Thanks

    How Small Can I Make a J-Frame...

Nice work I've got a real beater of a Taurus 82 I'd love to shrink and not a clue where to start. Now I've got some thinking to do.
