The May issue of American Rifleman has an add for the XDM45, but its not showing up on their website yet. Anybody know if it has an increase in capacity over the standard XD45?
Like the title says I would like to see what they look like on a Beretta 92/96 before I drop $65 on them. I am looking at the Olive Grey checkered model, but if you have pics of any of them, please post them.

Just picked up a Mossy 935 (3.5" mag autoloader) and the manual says not to shoot slugs out the of the overbored barrel:
If an overbored barrel has a larger bore than a standard barrel, would it hurt it to shoot slugs out of it?
It seems to me that it would be less accurate, but...
Okay, I know my XD45 has a Melonite finish which is supposedly similar to Glock's Tenifer finish. My XD45 has a couple surface scratches (not deep at all) that appear gray/silver, like something just rubbed the black off.
Is the black just a coloring applied over the Melonite?

I am looking for sights for my wifes Taurus PT 99 since the plastic sights that came from the factory suck.
1) No Taurus bashing please, that's not what i'm looking for!!
2) Not looking for night sights, just a decent set of fixed sights that will fit the gun.

If I buy an M4 style carbine like this one from S&W can I buy a 6.8 or .50 Beowulf Upper and just put the new upper on the lower, or are there other modifications required?
