I have a rubber strap wrench and it slips off the tiny teeth of the magazine cap. Thats how tight its on there. :(

Well, i havent detailed cleaned my Mossberg in over 600 rnds. It finally had a serious failure. The bolt and a empty shotshell locked itself in the forward position. I had to really hit the bolt handle to get it back and eject the shell. So i took her home and wanted to detail clean...

Ive noticed on many of my rifles that the first round fired is usually off its mark. Why is that and how can one avoid this? For example, i have a bolt action rifle Sig SHR 970 chambered in 300 WM zeroed for 100 yards. The cold bore shot i think landed low left, maybe 2". The 2nd shot would land...

Mossberg 930 SPX

I have been using the objective focus for range finding for my sub 300 yard shooting but i think i wont be able to use that ball park method at any farther distances. I think i am going to have to start practicing using the mill dots as range finders too.

Damn thats a great deal! Can you hook me up? :D I bought the 4200 6-24x40 with the side obj focus, paid $570, and it has been wonderfull for the price. I was able to hit an apple from 210+ yards away with 1 shot. Looking through my 4200 and then a friend's $1200 12x40 schmieth & bender...

Will the .223 ballistic reticle on the 557 still work properly with the 3x magnifier attached? Has anyone done this before and how do you like it? What is the lucky rifle you have this mounted on? TYIA... :D

Nice thread, i was about to post up one of my own! Mossberg 930 SPX 18.5" barrel @ 20 yards. Left:5 shots of Federal LE127 00 9 pellet 12ga 2-3/4" Right: 9 shots of Wolf 00 9 pellet 12ga 2-3/4" but actually measures 3" Those 3 holes punched are prob from the flight wads :D

Is there a trick to getting the pins out of the reciever that hold the trigger group in place on Mossbergs? I for one cant tap those lil suckers out on my 930.. or do i need to just tap harder? ;)
