My new Stealthgear mini Ventcore IWB holster showed up on May 1st. I shoved my Walther PPS-M2 into it and have been wearing it for about 10-12 hours a day over the past 5 days.
So far I am impressed with how comfortable the darn thing is to wear. I am in and out of my aircraft or my pick-up...
Has anyone here owned both and have an opinion ???. For a Walther PPSM2. I like to carry at about 4 O'clock and have a good forward cant.
I am trying to decide between the Steathgear mini two hook model

I have a Walther PPS-M2 that I am trying to figure out how to carry. What passes for summer is coming here in Alaska will be here by June ( leaves in Sept) and I will be wearing less jackets.
So,,,, I was thinking about a tuckable IWB type holster. I like a forward cant if that can be...
I took my previously unfired Walther PPS-M2 out to the range for some ammo and accuracy testing.
It was snowing and about 28 degrees. I field stripped the pistol just to inspect it and see how it worked. It disassembles just like a Glock. The trigger was a wee bit gritty from the box, so...
My buddy down the road bought one of the NRA denim vest made for conceal carry. I have borrowed it a couple times and it works well, even with a 1911.
It only comes in black or blue denim.
Attributes: Solidly put together, Snaps are solid as is the stitching. Weapon does not print, Has a...
Back when I had to carry every day in uniform I got used to drawing from the belt with my right hand.
Later I went plain clothes and tried using a shoulder holster with the gun hanging horizontally, thus a straight forward draw. ( the original Miami Vice was probably on TV then )
Anyway, one...
Thinking about redoing the slide on a scratched up MKIII Hipower. Any know if the Telfon bake-on coating from Brownells is any better or worse than the old GUN KOTE bake-on and how do they stand up to a Crerocoat finish ???
Of course they probably will not send me either since I am in Alaska...
I know that years ago the Navidrex thin grip panels were the thinnest for the Browning High Power.
At least for a reasonable price. I know they are notorious for needing to be fitted.
Anyway, are they still about the only good deal for thin grips or is there anyone else these days???
Yes I...
I am reviewing the 1911 compact frames out there. I did not include the Springfield EMP series since they are a slightly smaller size and not interchangeable with standard size 1911s.
Did I miss something...?? It looks like Sig does not offer a chopped 1911, nor does Ruger. At least that...
I have found that what I could get away with carrying concealed when I was plain clothes, is not what I can really conceal as a retired old fart. I tried a G19 but I cannot get myself to love Glocks. The grip to barrel angle is all wrong for me. So once again I am shopping around. I like a...
Somebody here gave me a bunch of oddball 45 slugs. These are 240 grains and sized to .454.
For some reason my 45 Colt chambered 1873 Win LOVES these things. Like half inch group love....And of course I only have 15 left. Any ideas on which mold these came from???
I have been playing around with some handloads for the CZ safari I picked up a while back in a trade, 375 H&H. I have owned a few 375s over the years, but this one actually has the potential to be a good shooter.
The former owner devalued it, because it was super in-accurate. I discovered...
I settled for a Leupold VX-R 1.25x4 30mm tubed scope for my CZ550 Safari 375 H&H.
I do not like the goofy words in the reticle, but it sure is a clear scope.
The wife's camera is taking grainy photos tonight.
About 25 years ago I had an extra standard M1A, so I had a reputable M-14 Smith/ armorer cut the barrel and install a brake so I could use it as my patrol car trunk rifle.
Other than the annual qual course it spent most of its time in my safe or in the case.
For the last 10 years or so it...
I own about 10 or 12 Leupolds, a couple Burris scopes and an old Weaver I bought back in 1974. I have played with Trijicons in the shop but have NEVER used one. I recently obtained a CZ Safari in 375H&H and I have been thinking about a lower power scope for faster closer-in work. The Trijocons...
The new Miroku made Winchester 1873 I picked up a couple weeks back is still a challenge as far as shooting consistent groups.
Mine is in 45 Colt and is the short rifle version. I probably should have held out for a 44-40 chambering.
1. The front sight blade is way too high and I have...
The ANNUAL MAUSER MATCH, ( Bolt Action Military Rifle match ) will be held at the Kachemak Gun Club range on MAY 7th, near Anchor Point.

The range will open at 0900 hours for warm up shooting.
I have a nice new production 1873 Winchester. I am still working out the loads for the darn 45 Colt chambering..
Anyway... The originals had trap door butt-plates for a cleaning rod. the new production guns do not. HAS ANYONE SEEN A RE-PRO BUTT-PLATE WITH A TRAP built into it ???
I just obtained a new Japanese made Winchester 73 in 45 Colt. It has a 20 inch barrel
I tried 9.0 grains of CFE Pistol which is supposed to be around 13,000 psi. Using Star-line brass, a Win stan/mag primer and heavy roll crimp into some mystery 250 grain rounded flat point cast bullets with...
