Thinking about this aperture rear sight and crosshair front sight for my AK-47

I checked those out and that seems like a very nice way to do it and if I had the cash I would probably go that route... but being on a budget and considering it's a cheap ol' WASR-10 I will probably go the Kreb's route.

Thinking about this aperture rear sight and crosshair front sight for my AK-47

Wow thanks! I had checked the Krebs and it looked the best I think when it comes to blending in with the rest of the rifle. If I wanted it to look crazy I'd mount a red dot on it but I want to keep this one fairly stock. Anyway, I think I'll go with that Krebs rear sight and now just can't...

Thinking about this aperture rear sight and crosshair front sight for my AK-47

Midway has a KNS cross hair type rear sight for $28 and the Krebs rear ghost-ring type sight for $65. Not sure if I want to put $100 into a WASR-10 but just considering my options. I think it'd be the perfect iron sight setup but I haven't ever used a real crosshair iron sight or probably not...

Finally bought an AK-47 (WASR-10) but theres something I don't get..

"The slant brakes are offset to the right because in full auto the weapon will climb diagonally to the left. Russian troops are also taught to aim for the right knee before touching off a burst for this reason." Ha, pretty interesting piece of information, thanks!

Finally bought an AK-47 (WASR-10) but theres something I don't get..

Thanks guys. I knew it had to be that way for a reason after I saw all these other ones for sale with the same sideways cut to it. I thought at first mine was just a mistake. But I keep seeing pics of AK's where they are straight so I guess those have been recut or something. It doesn't bug...

Finally bought an AK-47 (WASR-10) but theres something I don't get..

It has a threaded barrel and a slanted muzzle brake. Well the muzzle brake has the little notch in it so it "clicks" and locks with the push-in pin on the base of the threads. My brake has the indention in the brake on one side so when it catches and the brake is crooked. Something minor I...

    Whats wrong with my autoloader?

I bought a Sears Model 66 12 gauge autoloader from a guy for $75. Cleaned it up real good and it only holds 4 shells, but at least once out of the 4 shells it jams. Looks like when the the shell should be "popped" up into the chamber and its released from the magazine it's not pointed upwards...

Well, went to like 3 gun shops and a gun show looking for a pistol and ended up with.

Mine had matching serials and damn, there's like 5. One big number on the stock, trigger group, receiver, barrel, and on the "magazine" I think.

Well, went to like 3 gun shops and a gun show looking for a pistol and ended up with.

The bore looks pretty good on it. I didn't think to bring a bore light, but a military gun-nut was going through every single Mosin Nagant and SKS in the place and he helped me out. All the external parts are in good shape and it was definately oiled enough (oozing out some places). I trust...

Well, went to like 3 gun shops and a gun show looking for a pistol and ended up with.

LOL, I'll just get a folder stock and carry it IRC (Inside the Rain Coat) ;) My next rifle will probably be a 10/22 because I've already seen about 5 different conversion kits/stocks that I'd love to have  Local places are drying up on the 7.62x39 in bulk. I can go to Wal*Mart...

Well, went to like 3 gun shops and a gun show looking for a pistol and ended up with.

After looking around for about a month, posting on here a lot and spending 4+ hours a day looking for a carry pistol, I ended up with an SKS somehow  Definately not regretting it though :) I was looking at Kel Tel P32's, Makarov's, NAA Mini's, etc and I think I just got sick of...

    Thin auto's for carry?

Interesting... what is that?! Also, the Kahr's are great -- I had a P40 -- but I sold it and can't afford another. I haven't seen a Star BM in person, but they just looked a little too big and I never would've thought they were even remotely thin.

    Thin auto's for carry?

I had my eyes on a Star Firestar in .45 but it was sold (for $200!!!!) before I could pick it up :( Anyways, I want a thin gun and relatively short. Doesn't have to be a 2.5" barrel but under 4" and around 1" thick would be nice. Weight doesn't matter. Are Makarov's very thick guns...

Star Firestar... should I buy it?

Well, I'm still going to the show this weekend so I know it's a long shot, but I'd be so happy to find another Star Firestar for $200 or so. I am still kicking myself for not getting the one at the shop. It actually put me in a depressed mood all morning after I called and they said they...

Star Firestar... should I buy it?

Yeah, I called today. After reading more and more about the gun I wanted it more and more. So I decided I'd call today (they were closed sunday) and I'd go get it. Well, called them up and of course, it was sold. :( Oh well, I thought $199 was a little bit high on a Star at the time so...

What to do? Needing a pocket gun.

I'm really considering the P-32 and P3-AT more and more now. I haven't seen one in person and haven't held one in my hands yet but I'm wondering if you can actually shoot them and enjoy shooting them. I don't buy any gun that I won't enjoy shooting and can't shoot a lot. That's one reason...

Star Firestar... should I buy it?

Wow, I didn't know it was that good of a deal. I did look on gunbroker and gunsamerica.com to see if they had any if this one was already sold and they were $300+. Maybe I should've gotten it. But again, the guy said it had already been there a few weeks and no one looks at it. Probably...

Star Firestar... should I buy it?

Thanks for the reponses guys. I was surprised in all of my searching that I didn't really find and real complaints about the Firestar except that it was heavy. And that's not an issue for me so, to me, there are no complaints that are relevant to me. There's a gunshow next saturday and I...
