    New 11/87 vs Stoeger M3000.

I bought a new 11-87 sportsman a few years ago. Within 3 months the circlip that held on the cartridge interrupter came adrift, and the interrupter fell out on the floor. Luckily a friend found it and asked if it was mine the next time I saw her! About a year in the piston seal broke, and I...

With respect I think the main subject of conversation here has been the bottom ejection. However, you do make a good point, I think I would buy one of those flags and hang it out the bottom of the ejection port.

I like the idea of bottom ejecting, and the top safety. I'm primarily a clay shooter, so it would stop people whining about spent shells flying about if they fell at my feet. To be fair even I find it a bit odd when people use Beretta semi autos flinging spent cartridges 8 or 10 feet at a CPSA...

Thing is there aren't so many customers, so prices for guns tend to be higher. Normally I would think the price in England in £ is the same as the price in the US in $. The same applies for Harleys funnily enough, don't know about Triumphs vice versa though.

This is a model 79 being advertised atm https://www.gunstar.co.uk/savage-stevens-model-79-3-inch-12-bore-gauge-pump-action/Shotguns/884316 Assuming you can get on that site, you will see there are two BPS for sale, one is the cammo finish thing I don't like, the other is a section 1 gun that I...

Occasionally yes, they are generally secondhand too. :(

Can't wait to get one. Then after that a Mossberg of some kind, and then an Ithaca!

Cheers mate I'm convinced I will eventually :) Funnily enough I can't abide sxs, far too light and short for me! And they are basically the font of all old fashioned gun snobbery over here!

Thanks for your replies. So they are not quite as common over there as the 870/ Mossbergs? They sell by the way for around £800 new, but as I say there are only two for sale, neither of which I want. I've been ringing around today, it seems they are not even imported into the country any more...

    Browning BPS

Good morning all. I know it might seem bizarre to you all over in the U.S, but here in England the BPS is a pretty rare gun. Theres plenty of 870s and Mossbergs about ,but if I look on the two main gun sales websites today there are two for sale in the whole country, one is in camoflauge, I...

    Any Benelli experts here?

Fitted a new extractor claw yesterday, shot 100 shells today without any problems. So there you go :) Not so good quality control on the first one though!

    Any Benelli experts here?

I'm afraid it is mate I've ordered one from my local gun shop :)

    Any Benelli experts here?

Here's a picture of the extractor claw, seems to have a lot of wear for 600 - 700 shots, or am I being paranoid?

    Any Benelli experts here?

All the replies so far are saying the gun is fine, and I'm of course grateful for any opinions. However a part of me suspects there is something else afoot, would be grateful for any suggestions there. For example, many years ago when my old Mossberg 500 dropped the next shell straight at my...

    Any Benelli experts here?

When the jam occurs the shell has been pushed up towards the top of the chamber, you can take off the barrel and remove the shell, but the action is still jammed! I then remove both locating pins for the trigger, wiggle a tiny bit and all is back to normal. I hear what both of you are saying...
