Had a 6 in DB and concur with earlier posters that it was barrel heavy and I couldn't shoot it worth a dam. Love the smith and the old high standard sport king.
Thanks RCmodel!
I'll take it to the farm and unload my hydroshocks into something this weekend. If that is a success, I'll spring for an extra mag for the 229 rather than another glock. You have saved me hundreds! Now its back to deliberating if I really need that 308 battle/ deer rifle...
Had several instances of the above in one magazine of reloads in my favorite SIG 229 40 cal and was hoping that the cause might be that the loads weren't hot enough to force the slide far enough to eject the spent rounds.
Any similar experiences? A knowledgeable relative thinks my storing it...
I've the 229, 226, and 232 in Sig.
I've the 27, 19, and 26 in glock. The last bought post november as a replacement for the 27 if stolen. I perfer the glocks but would recommend the sig for a first timer as they are more fun to dry fire around the house.
Good luck!
I've a 232 that is just fine.
However it is not much fun to shoot. My larger sigs are much more fun and easier to shoot accurately. My favorite carry is a glock 27 (40 cal) in an inside the waistband comp-tac.
Good luck!
I put CT on my G19 and they feel good to the hand, but are distracting whaen actually shooting. They are a fun accessory, but they slow me down in target acquisition unless I completely ignore the iron sights.
Shot Glocks 26 and 27 dead on this weekend.
Why carry a big gun when the smallest are thoroughly accurate?
Proud 27 owner- I shoot it as quickly and as well as my 229
First Post!!!
Salutations all,
I Love my 27 with extensions, but it is my newest gun. My sig 229 is easier to shoot very accurately, but huge to carry in comparison. My sig 232 is lighter than the 27, but very hard for me to shoot straight.
I haven't a recoil problem with firing the 27...
