I'm mostly a rifle guy but I think SAA-style revolvers are super. I don't need a super nice one, basically one that goes bang everytime and I wouldn't feel guilty about slogging through the swamp with it. (We have a lot of those in VT).
Basically need an inexpensive one. What make should I...
I was on the way to the range yesterday and stopped to get a couple of gatorades (2 for $3) at the Pilot truck stop...the bill came to $3.03.
I don't think that should be ignored. :neener:

Let me start off by saying what this story is not.
It is not a gun fantasy story. There are guns in it, but they are the normal sort of guns you will find in pockets, closets, and the hands of regular troops worldwide...

For those of you too lazy to read the whole thing: The M1 wins.
Let me preface this by saying I am not a horse person. All I really know is that they are large animals and therefore get a certain amount of respect when they are being handled. Anyways.
I have a friend who rides on a regular basis. Being a city girl for the time being, she stables her horse...
On a Savage 775A. From What I read this shotgun is based on a Browning design. I have dismantled the rifle but can't figure out how to get the plug out of the magazine nor even remove the magazine from the weapon.
Not planning on using this for hunting so it will become my HD shotty. I think...
But if the president-elect tells us to quit buying guns, isn't that a pretty good indication that we should be buying them as fast as we can?

Super. Not 100% where I'm at but pretty close.
Next week I may or may not have the opportunity to have someone who is well known for his affiliation with firearms and very famous autograph my rifle stock.
The rifle is a Yugo SKS (it's all I have). It is of course a wooden stock with relatively pronounced grain. The question is...what kind...
If anyone saw the last episode of the first season during the marathon a couple days ago...
When the chick sets up her little sniping position overlooking the boat, what kind of rifle does she have? It was a civilian type with a dovetail mount scope, looked like maybe a BAR or A-bolt.

First time posting in the Shotgun forum. I was given my first one today by my grandfather. He is 80 years old and doesn't shoot much anymore. This Savage was probably bought around 1960 by my late great-grandfather, who passed it on to my grandfather when he died in '77. This gun has been...
I was just given an old-ish Savage model 7754 in 12 ga. It is recoil operated. Not sure about magazine capacity because it has a plug in it--probably 4. Has scroll/decorative work on both sides of the receiver portraying ducks flying in a marsh and dogs.
I'd like to know, if possible, when...
My humble viewpoint, posted here for your benefit (and maybe for my vanity).

I am looking for a gun-themed t-shirt.
Only three requirements.
1. It must be totally awesome.
2. It must not come across as agressive or activist. (Can be a shirt than only a gun person would "get").
3. Must involve commie guns. (SKS or 7.62x39 references preferred.
