Only place I know of for stainless clips are from hearthco in California. Dave's moon clips are the best you will find but are also the most expensive. Ranch will plate steel clips for you but it doubles the price.

Most gunsmiths will not cut a S&W revolver to 3". It gets into the area of the locking bolt and causes machining problems. You will have to find a factory 3:so how difficult or expensive is it to cut down the barrel to 3 inches" barrel for the S&W products.

Most important part of mastering a J frame is the trigger. Snap caps and Dry fire, dry fire, dry fire. Use that trigger time to learn to keep your almost non existent sights on target and develop a smooth start to finish trigger pull.
