I picked this up today. marked ec43 Any value to it?

Any comments on the Henry .22's (lever action) that are selling for around the $200 mark ? I can't remember the model number but it's the blued version similar to the Golden Boy. Your thoughts/experience would be appreciated.

Just picked up one for my granddaughter. I haven't checked the serial number to establish a date of mfg, but the dealer says its a late 40's model. Great shape for it's age. Anyone got any comments on this. I'd like to know as much as possible about it. Thanks :)

you hear all sorts of 'problems' with about every brand gun made here on this forum, but I can't remember seeing any problems concerning S&W guns ? If I search I could probably find a few, maybe, but it seems like other brands have many many more. Is it that S&W fans don't frequent here...
