    SA-35 Gunsmith

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that. You are right about the sights being good, the only change I would get would be a post and dot rear sight.

    SA-35 Gunsmith

I haven't fired it yet but the trigger is a bit creepy and gritty. I need that worked out and I want the internals deburred before it takes over as my EDC. After I fire it I may need it accurized also.

    SA-35 Gunsmith

Are you sure about C&S? Their website is still active. I'd hate to see a resource like that disappear. I forgot about Don Williams, thanks for the reminder. I'll be calling him this week. Thanks for your help!

    SA-35 Gunsmith

I recently acquired a new SA-35 and it needs a bit of a tune-up. It needs some trigger work and I'd like the internals deburred and possibly a new rear sight. My first choice would be Cylinder and Slide but they are running about a year behind. Does anybody know a Smith that specializes in...

    Pickup truck rifle racks?

I didn't know these were still available, I haven't seen one in years. I bought one in 1989 for my 1986 Ford Ranger, best accessory I ever bought. Mine had a scanner and VHF police radio mounted just like your CB and I kept my backup handgun and a few spare mags up there.

    Ammo storage cabinet

Do you need an enclosed cabinet for security? If not, then something like this might work. I see you're already using the space under a stairway, this design will allow for numerous combinations of different lengths and heights of shelving and can always be modified to accommodate different size...

Gun starter set for kids' new home.

This is a great suggestion, something I would consider mandatory. But mine all run on CR123s. They seem to last much longer.

Gun starter set for kids' new home.

I started that when my kids were born. They are now mid-to-late 20s and have near zero interest in them. I'm still hoping they'll come around some day soon!

    Ammo storage

I leave everything in the original cases which I stack on 2x12s supported by concrete blocks, The 2x12s are the perfect size for ammo cans. Some of the longer Speer cases overhang a bit but not too much.

Feds Must Hand Over Gun Data, Court Rules in Freedom of Information Act Win for Journalists

You might be right but my first impression was that they were looking at crime guns that had been "misplaced" by law enforcement agencies and wound up in criminal hands. I think it looks like thy are trying to get the agencies to clean up their acts and their personnel before criticizing...

    Revolver or Modern Hi-cap Pistol?

Back in the 70s it was an empty 1911 in a strategic location with a mag or two in your pocket. This was called "Condition 4".

Question Regarding Purchasing Handgun With Respect to Upcoming Election

Welcome to our world! Don't listen to that advice. Try different guns and buy the one that fits you best and that you can shoot the best. As a police firearms instructor my people had to adapt to the gun they were issued. This is NOT the proper way to do things. Get a gun that is comfortable for...

Best way to sell once used brass?

This is what I did for brass that was sorted. I offered it by the USPS Large flat rate box (about $15 at the time) and sold them on Gunbroker. Can't remember how much I got for them but it was more than scrap value. The unsorted brass (about 8 five gallon buckets full) was sold to a local scrap...
