    .410 Reloading (whack-a-mole style)

In the olden days, I think they used waterglass or shellac to hold the overshot wad. But I don't know if that worked for doubles or just single-shots. And a Judge might recoil more than a double. This is the best article I've found on reloading .410 shells w/o a press...

    .410 Reloading (whack-a-mole style)

I won a Taurus Judge recently in a raffle. It's the one with a 2.6" long cylinder (for 2.5" shells) and a 6.5" barrel. I will probably shoot mostly .45 Colt cartridges in it, which I already reload for. But I've been reading about reloading shotshells, and I have several pounds of Alliant...

    41 magnum questions

215 grain SWC's are a good bullet for .41 Magnum. I use the Lee bullet mold that's about that weight; don't remember exactly what it is. There is no need for special length "Special" brass, just use Unique or 231 or Red Dot (etc) powder and load them down from normal "magnum" levels. A big...

    Bullseye give you better deal?

I believe Bullseye has more energy per gram than any other power (except Power Pistol, which is just a slower version of Bullseye) So it would stand to reason that at the same price per pound, Bullseye is a better deal if it will work. I also think you're getting screwed up by tare weight.

Should ALL Felons Regain Their Gun Rights Upon Completion of Sentence/Parole?

Because they couldn't have possibly have used a brick or a hammer or baseball bat on grandma? You're the one making excuses. I'm fine with thugs owning guns. I'm not fine with them using guns to make mischief, but that's illegal anyway, isn't it?

Should ALL Felons Regain Their Gun Rights Upon Completion of Sentence/Parole?

I'm just glad that I'm not the only one who sees it. It is the same mentality as blue-and-walnut shotgunners (BTW, I like blue and walnut) being in favor of banning AR's and semiauto handguns because they think it doesn't affect them because they don't like AR's and handguns anyway. "Rights...

Should ALL Felons Regain Their Gun Rights Upon Completion of Sentence/Parole?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-ER-yo1V3s&feature=youtu.be&t=38s Perhaps if we didn't treat ex-cons as lower class than illegal aliens, so that it was actually possible for them to reintegrate into society and earn a living wage, recidivism rates wouldn't be so high. Part of that...

Should ALL Felons Regain Their Gun Rights Upon Completion of Sentence/Parole?

How did our country even survive its first 200 years, before the Gun Control Act of 1968? Do you think maybe ex-cons with guns might be a problem invented by the government?

Should ALL Felons Regain Their Gun Rights Upon Completion of Sentence/Parole?

Before 1968, there was no concept of "prohibited persons". 40 years later, gun owners are in favor of stripping rights from other people because they never see themselves being part of that class. It's sad. I voted yes; no qualifiers. If violent felons are getting out too soon, or...

ANSWERED - Can I use regular small pistol primers in .357 mag?

For most powders, that's the preferred primer. H110 (aka W296) needs a magnum primer or a rifle primer, and a few other powders like HS6 benefit from it. The rest often do better with plain pistol primers.

Stupid question of the week: .357 magnum data questions

A 158 grain lead bullet at 1200 fps is generally a nice load. Give it a try. :) With the right powder you can go up to about 1500 fps; the bullets may or may not be able to cope with that, depending on a lot of factors.

    Suitable 9mm load for SD?

Where do you find 9mm load data for WSF? I know it's a good powder and I picked up 8 pounds for a good price a few years ago. (I did not know it is flash suppressed) I think it's very similar in burn rate to Herco. Last I checked, Hodgdon didn't really have any data for it. Old Winchester...

Eyeglasses a substitute for safety glasses, no.

I wear "aviator" style prescription eyeglasses and take my chances. They have kinda thick plastic lenses but not "safety" polycarbonate.

    .357 load suggestions?

You have the answer already. Keep carrying the 158 grain lead .38 Specials, and just shoot .357's occasionally for fun. (how is your flinch doing after shooting the .357's? ;)

While maybe not a good idea, really arrested?

Thanks. I had skimmed the thread, but I missed your post. I thought that law had been overturned after Heller. Also from the article (emphasis added):

While maybe not a good idea, really arrested?

I haven't read the whole thread, but the "menacing" charge sounds legit to me. But I think the possession charge is BS because he was still within the curtilage of his home.

Should you ever admit you are carrying?

IMHO, the chief is an idiot; he's trying to start a war between the police and the sheriff's dept. Sheriff Clarke is very much pro-gun, and the city officials hate him for it. He's also going to get a police officer killed someday when they try to illegally disarm a warrior (there aren't...

Powder recommendation for .223 Plinking Loads

The only powder I've used for .223 is Varget. I have several other powders that will work, but I haven't even tried them yet because Varget is so good. Accurate makes several ball powders that will work if ease-of-measurement is really important; kind of depends how well your powder measure...

Should you ever admit you are carrying?

that was the first narrative that came out; told by his girlfriend who was there at the time. AFAIK there are no competing theories yet, but the investigation is still young.
