under the paint and the dirt of 140 years is some beautiful scrollwork. That leather strap hints that someone will is using it in as is condition. the percussion nipples should scare anyone in their current condition.

I was given a double barrel 12 gauge Mortimer percussion shotgun by one
of my clients. it is not a reproduction but a very old and not well-kept
