    Delay in NJ

NJ so silly. Check out NJCSD.org, they have some info and resources to help. Good people. Also, are you supporting Lonnegan for Governor? He's openly pro 2nd and should get our support!

I think I read someplace there was going to be a civilian model coming out, but it's a Chinese knock-off. How's that gonna work out? :p

    Saiga .223 range report

Mike - Nice set up. I have basically the same thing in 762, skeleton, and I'm also lefty! That side rail you got, is it offset to one side at all, or does it mount the optic right over the center? Ive read some of the comblock sidemount rails are offset because they're designed for right...

So where's a good source foe a USGI type sling? Seems they're sold out on the Appleseed site - I'm trying to put together a 10/22 for this very purpose.

Can I buy a long gun out of state?

Hey, this is cool! Any decent gun shops in the I80 or I78 areas of PA for another Jersey guy to check out? I'm looking around for a Saiga. Also, this Certificate of Eligibility is provided by the dealer? I've never seen one.

    Vermont...

I'm actually heading up to VT sometime this month. Probably not Memorial Day w/e, but sometime before the end of June I guess. VT is a beautiful place, and I've been going there since about 1991 on various trips - and it is definitely a cool place to visit, but I decided long ago I would not...

    Moving to New Jersey

Congratulations on the new job! Not sure about the legality of the rifle, although you don't need to register what you legally bring in, HP ammo is OK to have in your home, on the range, or to and from a range or the store you got it in. No ammo restrictions so far, but that may soon change...

    We Neeed Hosts.

Matt, that's great! Did you ever get in touch w/ anyone @ the Easton, PA range? Would love to get some time with you guys some day. (NNJ) You should get a little website up with "stuff" you do - schedules, et-cetera as it all evolves.

ITFTS May 3-4-Easton, Pa [ Near Philly ]

If you live in the PA/NJ area you might want to check this out. I went to Brownie's class this past May, and although I could not complete day 2 of the training for personal reasons, I had a really good time and learned quite a bit in the 1 1/2 days I could be there. I don't consider myself...

NJ State Gun Law - applying for permit tomorrow

I live in NNJ, and my permits have always come in about 30 days even when there was a big surge in the permit workload right after 9-11. Never gotten a hassle or anything from the PD either. I think the state is pretty consistent, and the local dept tends to hold it up depending on...

    Saiga + Leftys

Thanks guys, and I hope ya had a nice Thanksgiving! :) So it sounds like I'll be safe from flying brass, and the side mount scope should be OK too. Any specific scopes that I can check out? What are you lefties using? I'm really looking to punch paper out to 200yds max. What works...

    Saiga + Leftys

Any southpaw Saiga owners here? I'm thinking about picking up a 7.62X39 model and pretty much leaving it stock. I'm mainly interested in... A) How are the spent cases ejected? (will they pop me in the head?) B) I've read the side-mount scopes are offset to one side (for righty...

Why you *should* talk to the press - and how.

Great topic - thanks for posting it! Here's a question. This "off the record" concept - if something is said "off the record" and the reporter agrees to it, but then goes and prints it anyway, what happens then? Is there some recourse, or is it more of an honor thing?
