A pair of 10X42's are for sale locally at about 1/2 SWFA's price.
I was wondering if anybody knows how they compare to Leica, Swarovski, and other premium products.
I think hold over out to 400 yards can be estimated well enough from the body size of a deer or elk, probably 14 to 20 inches if zeroed at 200 depending on your cartridge and load at least for anything I'm likely to use. Maybe 6 inched or just aim a tad high at 300 yards.
But, at 500 or 600...
I don't know anything about what is available. Is there a brand made specifically for bear? How long does it keep? Can you depend on it to spray like it is supposed to ? Range?
Any advice would be appreciated.
I need advice on a GPS for hunting. I don't need road maps or any of that. Just something that I can punch in my coordinates, track where I walk, and how to get back. Inexpensive is good. What do I need? Thanks
