    Just bought a Marlin 336CS in 30-30

I almost got to the range today. Wah Hoo. I was excited. Then kid things came up and the day was gone. Oh well, there will be another day. My wife and I are up here in West Virginia baby sitting four of our grand kids while my daughter is deployed overseas. I like this state, but I can't...

    Just bought a Marlin 336CS in 30-30

I don't think that the receiver is tapped on the side. I'm going by the serial number to figure out the age. I like the see through rings as well. I looked around and found a Barska sniper scope that I like, but the tube is 30mm in diameter and the see thru rings are an inch, so no way...

rifle or shotgun? got my new circuit judge today!

If all else fails, reload your own. For only one caliber to work with, you can do it pretty cheaply and come out with some excellent loads. Dave :)

Anyone heard of or shot a Tisas CS-9 pistol?

I saw one advertised on the net and then did a search and found that a lot of places are carrying them, including Buds gun shop. The only think I can find is that they are imported by American Tactical Imports, they are a polymer frame and they are have a hammer. The price is right. I can't...

    a good .22lr rifle?

I have a Marlin 60 that is absolutely boring as it is so accurate. Fun! I also have a Savage semi-auto and had a Mossberg 702. I really liked that rifle, but had a chance to trade it for an SKS, so I did. I would rather have traded the Savage, but it is is good rifle. No scopes on any of...

    Just bought a Marlin 336CS in 30-30

I hadn't heard about the model 39. I have a Henry lever action 22 already, so I guess and even though it's a great gun, it's more fun to shoot the model 60. You never know what I'll run into next. Keep shooting. Dave :)

    Just bought a Marlin 336CS in 30-30

Thanks. As to multiplying, I already had a model 60 in .22 that it flawless. Great brand! I'll update after I get to the range. By the way, has anyone tried the new Level Revolution rounds? The cost more, but seem like they should be worth more. Thanks. Dave :)

    Just bought a Marlin 336CS in 30-30

It's been used and needs a good cleaning but the only damage I can find is a few dots of rust around some of the screws on the receiver. I haven't had a chance to get it to the range yet, but I got it an Itasco scope on it. Not the best scope, but I will find out when I get to the range. It...

What's the oldest gun you own ?

Double barrel 12ga sxs with Damascus barrels side hammers, bottom break lever that says Geo Fisher on it. Don't know the year, but my grandfather got it used and my father was born in 1895. Pretty old. Weighs 12 pounds. Dave

What is the last gun that you bought?

Hi-Point 995TS carbine. Boy it's a shooter! I've shot lots of handguns and rifles, but this is going to be great for varmints and for home defense. As one's eyes (and the rest of him) gets older, something like a carbine is really great for home defense, and the bullets won't take out the...

Mosin Nagant 91/30 Hunting Rifle & Handload Build

Thanks again, I think I can do something like that to mine now and have a better hunting rifle. Take care and post some more gun work as you do it. Dave :o:)

Mosin Nagant 91/30 Hunting Rifle & Handload Build

That was a great job and a great report. My only problem is...how did you mount the scope. I'm trying to see by the picture, but can't see if the rings are mounted between the old sight mounts or down or on the side. Forgive me for my ramblings. As I get older, I need more pictures. I have...

Kel-Tec PF9 How "snappy" are they?

I was worried about excess recoil when I bought mine about 3 weeks ago, but had also watched some You-Tube videos of it being shot. It really doesn't recoil much as you can get a good high grip with it, but you have to grip firmly to control the muzzle flip. It's pretty darn accurate for being...

    Yikes, what the heck happened??

I'm afraid I'm with harmon rabb on this one. I traded a first generation Glock 22 for a new XD40 and it just gets boring the way the darn thing just shoots so accurately and comfortably. You will love it! Dave :)

    Toolbox gun....HiPoint?

Personally, I never understood "ugly". People say that Glocks and Hi-Points are ugly, but they seem to always go "bang" when you pull the trigger. Hi-Points are single action so if you don't trust the safety, you need to leave the chamber empty. My C9 works great. Actually, I have owned one...

    Berry's from Graf's

I like Grafs, but I buy my Berrys from Berrys. If you buy over $50, the shipping is free. Can't beat that. Mine come in nice plastic boxes of 250 no matter how many I buy, so I get the benefit of nice storage boxes as well. Dave :neener:

    My gen4 glock 26 range report w/pics

Good looking pistol and you are a lot more accurate than I am!! Great shots! How do you like the changeable grip? Did it make any difference to you? Did you change it out. Thanks for the info. Dave :neener:

    Kel-tec PF9, biggest POS EVER

My PF-9 (also purchased from Buds) is great. I have found that it doesn't like Winchester White Box ammo, but that's fine, my other 9s love to shoot it up. Call Kel-Tec. Dave :neener:

    Used Kel-tec P11 Question

Prices vary. I'd offer it for at least $260 and you can deal for a lesser price if necessary. You will probably get $250. Dave :)
