A friend who is looking into getting into reloading was asking my advice yesterday. The man happens to be a Physician who enjoys firearms so much he has a FFL.
After going over his reloading checklist and adding and subtracting a few items I thought about recommending the reloading section...
These things would look more at home on a field piece or a tank's tube but they seem to work very well. I had one put on a Sako TRG-S in
.338 Lapua Mag and was very happy with the results. The rifle is a joy to shoot from the bench with a recoil like a .243.
The noise to the shooter is not...
I have a Springfield SAR-8 that I would like to shoot more as it is a fun gun.
The main problem with it is the trigger as pull is most likely 12 lbs and it feels like a 3 or 4 stage!
I picked up on WTS at one of the Hk forums but I really did not care to hear the advise of it's small group...
Worth the wait and expense? I won't do it very often because I can't afford to but having a pistol put together by a true artisan is very rewarding.
