Dimensionally, everything is the same except the height and the shoulder angle. I wouldn't use the mandrel portion anyway, so the shoulder setback feature would be disabled. I'd like to undersize some .30.06 brass, and this seems economically practical.

My son gave me a box of Sierra 150gr HPBT's for Christmas to load for my Garand. A reloader I trust recently told me boat tail bullets don't work well out of a Garand...something to do with the way it leaves the muzzle. Anybody ever heard of this?
