    Gas blowing back Remington 510

Thanks everybody. I'll see if holding the bolt helps. I think it's a problem with the actual cheer because you can see the mark left by the gas blowing back. Guess it might be time to start looking for another 510...

    Gas blowing back Remington 510

Iv got a Remington model 510 target master. No telling how many thousands of rounds iv fired through it over the years. The problem is that it is starting to allow gas to blow back past the case and in to my face. I'm really hoping there is some way that I can salvage this rifle. Can anybody...

    What powders

Thanks for all the replies yall. I will be picking up some 2400 to try out pretty soon. Another question I have is, from looking in my manual and seeing them together with most calibers, is there any need to try both 4895 and varget? or are they about the same powder and just redundant to have...

What's your "Lifetime Achievement Award" Gun?

There is something romantic and yet usefull. Beautiful but yet utilitarian about a Holland and Holland. Maybe its the capstick novels I have read, or the fact that even the cheapest double is out of my price range, but they are the guns I dream about. BTW thanks for the picture for me to drool...

    What powders

Thanks again RC. That would definately work, but it is mindboggling all the different powders listed for just one caliber, and without trying them all I wouldn't know how they performed. My hopes for this thread is that I get a few responses like yours and any that overlap I can go with first...

    What powders

I tried to search but didn't find what I wanted to know. I have been reloading and casting for a small number of calibers for a while. I am slowly expanding in to different calibers and am just bewildered at the sheer number of powders so, What would be the bare minimum powder to have on...

    CCW revolver difficulty

Thanks for all the input guys, I think I am looking at the rugers.. 4" security 6, 4" gp 100, or 3" sp 101. I am not a fan of true snub nosed guns as it will be used for more than just ccw for me. The 3" is a little shorter than I would like but I could live with it. I just need to try and get...

    CCW revolver difficulty

On another question, what sub $600 357 revolver with preferably a 4" barrel would be the better choice for a ccw/backpacking gun? I am thinking gp 100, sp 101, or security 6 that I can get local for around $400? Any other brands or models that you folks would have me look at? any input is...

Point taken steve, I have already decided to splurge on that point and go with a beltman belt as everybody seems to give good reviews on them, now for the rest of the equation.

    CCW revolver difficulty

Thanks guys. I am more interested in conceilability as I am totally new to this. I know how carrying a heavy gun can get tiring from my hunting revolvers. Basically just curious how hard a revolver with 4" barrel would be to conceal and what yall have found is the best method of carry to conceal...
