The only gun related scar I have,is from a crow I shot.I went to pick it up at it locked it's beak on my hand between thumb and finger.The damm thing would not let go,I had to rip it off with skin and all.I bled like a stuffed pig for 1 hour,by the way the crow died quickly after that.

One more which may seem odd.After oiling tapping and leaving for a few days.Turn the screw to tighten,one quarter turn should do it,then unscrew.We have been doing this for 60 years and it works.

You cannot beat oil as a finish (if you like the look).It can be easily done by the first timer if you take your time and let the oil dry between coats.Always dry at room temp,away from direct heat.I won't advise on mixtures,we use our own recipe,but there are plenty on THR who will advise.
