- A quality light wont break the first time you fire the SG.
- Re-think firing the SG "from the hip". It is not the most effective way to achieve you goal.
- At 'across the room' or 'down the hall' distances the red dot is redundant.
A quality weapon mounted light would provide...

I have run about 2000 rounds through my USP COmpact without cleaning.
I would wipe the outside off with a damp rag and holster it when I left the range.
HEad back to the range in a few days shot another 500 rounds of so wipe it off so my holster didn't get dirty and carry it for the rest...
