Ive had my XD-S since last month. Ive put over 500 rds thru it with no problems...... recoil is very manageable. Much more controllable then a P11 or PF9.

Anyplace that handles guns can do a transfer. I do most of mine thru a pawn shop. They seem happy to make a little extra cash ($20) to do it, other "sporting good" stores in my area act as if its a slap in the face to even ask them to do that, and they want $50 to transfer :rolleyes...
