I think the people that have problems cycling their benellis may have a problem with their form. Its an inertia recoil gun so you have got to take advantage of its kick and transfer energy to the cycling action, not absorb the energy. Like what shooting from the hip does and bad mounting...

There are probably people out there that are faster "practically" with a pump them me with a semi-auto Tom Knapp for one. But I think with equal training on both pump and semi-auto I would be slightly faster "practically" on a semi.

There was an personal review of the Saiga shotgun done by Correia a while back. If you do a search in this forum with "Saiga review" you should find it. I think he used it in some matches and found that the detachable magazine was a plus.

I don't like the speed feeds. When you chamber load you gotta go over the top of the reciever because if you go from the bottom sometimes you hit the speed feed and your bolt closes before you get the round in :( Better solution to what the speed feed does is what the new 1100 competition...

yes, If you decide to put a mag extension on the express you gotta do some work. Because in the mag tube there are these two little bumps that hold the cap on and those would need to be filed down or else the follower will jam on it. But that shouldn't stop you from buying an 870.

I think both are quality guns thus you get what you pay for. Although due to QC issues I'd stay away from remington anything.
