Looking for a "glasses" type solution for using iron sights....bifocals seem to offer some advantage when trying to focus on the front sight (rifle). Any tricks or advice beyond red dots? :neener:

Best glue to repair this stock?

Posting here because I can upload a picture: As you can see, I popped about 2 inches of the outside wood surface away from the rest of the stock. The lifted "patch" is about extremely thin and there is virtually no room between it and the rest of the stock. Should I go with wood glue or...

    1903A3 Sling

I have a reproduction of the military sling. Question: once the sling is adjusted, are the hooks supposed to be bent to aide retention? Right now they are at a ~45 degree angle and easily come out of the sling holes unless under tension....

    Maverick vs. H&R Pardner

I am looking at two very similar models in 20 gauge and trying to decide...the Maverick is American made and would likely have good support and parts from Mossberg if needed.....the Pardner gets great reviews and is a little cheaper, but it is made in China. I plan on using either model pretty...

    Full Auto

A few manufaturers are doing "full auto" versions (see below) but I've also read about some models that could be modded to fire full auto (Daisy 2003). Any others out there? :D http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Legends_M712_Full_Auto_CO2_BB_Pistol_Full_Metal/3487

    Spring Challenges (H&R and Broomhandle)

Good Morning All, I am looking for a trigger return spring for a Broomhandle without much success. Does anyone know of a similar type spring that I could mod to fit / work? Also, need a new mainspring for an H&R 929 .22 revolver for the mainspring guide rod type (the kind w/o a head...

    Buck makes good!

Buck replaced my Woodsman (broke in the washer machine) with a new knife. No explanation of the defect, but they did include a 25% discount for my next order as well! :)

    Blade "proofing"

So......after my debacle with the "broke knife in the washer machine," I am wondering if there is low cost, easy non-destructive way to test a blade for latent detects. Supposedly maker Fred Perrin suggested "gently" throwing a blade a few times......

    Broke Buck / Bonehead Move!

OK, I had a brain cramp.....long story short, I put my Buck 102 in the washing machine. Although it was in the sheath the whole time, the blade broke! The sheath came out of it OK...just has more of a "weathered" look now:p I'll probably contact Buck but will obviously "come clean"...

I like the the .410 / .45 LC revolver concept as created by Taurus...just not too crazy about Taurus itself! :uhoh: Does any one think Smith might come out with such a model????
