Who else can't shoot .357Sig accurately?

I am no expert, but best guess. iirc SIGs use different front sights for .357 and .40? Could be why your shots were low? RFB

    S&W pinned and recessed question.

Hello...so I might have figured something out tonight...maybe a flash of brilliance...maybe not. So I'm going over in my head why newer S&Ws aren't recessed...then it comes to me...is it because the recessing was part of the hammer mounted pin system? Pinned barrels went away for a cheaper...

Help me on what to look for in a Colt SAA .45

^ Hawk, those warnings make me laugh every time I've read them, they are silly to say the least. ;) Harve, that SAA is GREAT! I really like the "B 1/2 coverage" it has a nice balance of engraving, compared to the fully engraved I saw online where even the front blade sight and hammer are...

Help me on what to look for in a Colt SAA .45

Thank you everyone so far. Ever since I was 9 years old watching True Grit I've known about carrying 5 with the chamber empty under the hammer ...even recently I have heard about slipping a $20 in the open chamber to pay for your burial, can't say its fact, but it sounds good. I did read...

Help me on what to look for in a Colt SAA .45

Hello all, The revolver bug is starting to burrow under my skin again, and I have really been putting off this purchase for a while due to its ridiculous cost, but... Can someone school me on the current production Colt SAAs? Anyone purchased one recently? Or was it a family heirloom? I've...

    Matched wedding guns..

For some reason I'm thinking revolvers. My top 3 Revolver picks are: The Model 60 & 60LS as mentioned above, j-frames are forever. 4 Consecutive numbered Colt SAA's w/ silver conched double gun rigs...how much could that cost? ;) I think you can still get the consecutive # Ruger 50th...

    Sig Custom Shop

^ Fixed it for you 9mmepiphany ;) In all seriousness though Bruce Gray is a true craftsman, and 9mmepiphany knows his stuff. I bought my 226r with the SIGlites already installed so I cannot speak of the value of the custom shop versions. The SRT, as far as I can tell, if not incompatible...

.357 mag delivers a powerful demonstration

There were also accounts of the Russian Romanov family wearing their fortune in diamonds sewn into their undergarments. It acted as an unintentional body armor. But the Bolsheviks just shot and hacked them to pieces as best they could not knowing about the armor...prolonging an already horrible...

Happiness is a New Blue S&W Centennial

Me and that "safety" are still getting acquainted. In the mean time a fellow on another board told me in the 60's & 70's He saw NYPD detectives rubber band the grip, holds down the safety and gives some nice cushion...pre-Pachmayers. Me being a little flat on funds currently did it and I like...

Happiness is a New Blue S&W Centennial

Just picked up my newest addition to my collection, a S&W "classic collection" 40-1 in Blue. I love that its a new production centennial. I love the metal to metal fit and deep blue finish. I'm not so sure about that grip...this is my first j-frame and me and that grip are not getting...

Aftermarket grips for new production S&W model 40

Heya Hawk, I am buying a 40 next week, check out this thread from a week ago: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=368778 Further down he added: Pretty soon there will be 5 of us S&W 40 owners that I know of...I smell a new "club" forming! ;) Enjoy! RFB

    Smith 686 vs. 686+

From what I have heard I agree with all the above. One peculiar reason I ended up with my 686+ was my dealer only stocked the + and "special ordering" a 6 shot would have ended up being more. Either way the 686 is an exceptional revolver imho. :) RFB

    Clint Smith On Shotguns

"The gun you got" I saw a clip on guntalktv.com with Mr. Smith discussing Autopistol vs. revolver for SD...somewhere along the way he said something very similar: "If I have a revolver I'll defend myself with a revolver, If I have an Auto I'll defend myself with an Auto, it's about getting...

    Questions regarding my Kimber

My Kimber Gold Match already had a factory one piece, yours came G.I. style 2 piece? I'm no 1911 expert, but Wilson 1911 parts are usually interchangeable, although you could probably order a Kimber one for the same price just to be on the safe side. Congrats on the Kimber, RFB

    New S&W 642 Cleaning Question

Congrats on your j-frame, I'm looking at a 40-1 soon. Lets see some pics? :) To add a question to this, how do you lube a concealed hammer model? I know it doesn't need much but I'm really not good with taking off the side plate, is there access under the grips? RFB

Happiness is a Nickel No Lock Smith & Wesson Snub

Heya rgs1975, Due to your strong previous endorsement and helpful answers to my questions regarding this product I am currently saving up for one also, but won't order it until Mid-July or so. Nice to see bee-utiful pics of yours though, adds even more fuel to my fire. The matching mini-mag was...
