Several months back I was perusing Handloader Mag at the local book emporium. In it was an article about a new super shot being imported from China. Heavier than lead. Safe in older guns. Ballistically magic as far as retained energy, energy transfer on target etc...
Happy Friday one and all ! LOL
I just picked up a Daniel Fraser falling block 22LR. I'm looking for some confirmation. I know it was mfgd. by Armi San Marco. IIRC it was imported by Thad Scott in the late 70s or so. Has a nicely casehardened receiver, barrel tapering from octagon to round...

It's (was) a really good design and morphed, sans external hammer, into the Brit Martini action.
I hope they get it off the ground 'cause I'll...
OK Here's the deal. I picked up a Ruger Speed Six a couple months back.
Sn Prefix is 150. Every blessed pair of aftermarket grips I can find are for 151 and later prefix guns.
One guy referred to the 151 prefix as the large frame. Bottom line ..What is the difference AND ..Anybody got any...

I'm about to upgrade my tools for gun tinkering.
I've noticed the Wheeler Engineering screwdriver sets advertised recently and was wondering how they stack up against the Brownell's Magna driver.
If anybody has experience with the Wheeler set I'd appreciate an opinion.
I should note I've used...
I was supposed to participate in a pheasant shoot back in March,
It was to be a tower shoot with the birds hand thrown from a 15 ft. tower. The shooters were placed about 35yds. from the tower in a circle,
After thinking it over a good bit I opted out. My reasoning was it was NOT a hunt. It...

I don't think I imagined this. several weeks back I saw a post regarding a handsome young lady who is: A. a dealer in No. Carolina and
B: Has a 2005 calendar available to display some of the merchandise she sells.
If old age and wishful thinking senility have not taken hold will someone...

A nephew has a Heym combo gun, 20 ga. over 222 Rem.
It has no model number etc and has one of the most unusual actions I've seen.
The receiver is alloy, with the barrel selector located on the left side of the receiver. It has what appear to be set triggers. BUT the rear trigger actually...
My nephew has 7mm Rem Mag built on a Mauser 98 action that was given to him by a family friend. The gun has a 20 inch barrel. He investigated having it rebarreled in the same caliber to a longer 24 or 26 in. tube.
Let me preface what follows by saying I DO NOT know the 'smith who gave him...
My 25 yr. old daughter just retuned from a couple of days R&R away from med school at her grandfather's farm.
She asked to borrow one om my shotguns to see how she'd like shooting one. So i loaned her my 20 bore benelli Nova and let her have 4 boxes of shells with it.
Note here: she hunted...
I've been doing a little reading about the 6.5 Grendel and have a couple of questions.
Has anybody set up anything other than an AR platform for the round?
I think it'd be a sweet in a bolt gun! Especially for a young shooter or for a shooting member of the fairer sex.
And which case is the...
I'm trying to find a website or dealer for Six Enterprises synthetic stocks. Specifically for a Remington 600. Saw the whole line up of their stocks somewhere the other day, but I've had a relapse of CRS.
Oh Well, least i can still find my way here :)

Looking for someone to slick up a 60's vintage Colt Detective Special.

This is a one I bought for my father in '72. Now it's mine and I'd like to carry it occasionally. I doubt it's had 50 rounds thru it.
Anyone own, use or familiar with Fujinon rifle scopes. been thinking about trying one but would like an opinion or 2 or 3 or... from folks who have some experience with them.
They look like a quality scope and the prices I've seen seem reasonable.
Dove season here in the Heart of Dixie opened yesterday at High Noon. Managed to get my limit (will NOT reveal how many shells).
Went back this afternoon. Not nearly as many birds moving until nearly sunset.
I did manage to bag the 2 unluckiest collared doves on the planet.
