Does anyone shoot long range with their rifle? US Optics sells a 20 MOA base but I would need to drill the receiver to mount it (4 screws). I don't anything about long range shooting but would like to get into it and was considering selling this rifle to get a new one.
I bought a 550 American in 6.5 Swede last year to hunt for my first time and made the mistake of not getting a sling. It was awfully heavy carrying up and hill, through the mud, etc.
I'm 5'5 and the sling will mainly be used to carry the rifle. What type should I get? Online sources?
Coworker bought one at an estate sale last week and is searching around town trying to find ammo. From what he told me, it's a solid frame gun that you load from the side and has a short barrel (maybe 2"). After doing some research, I see that it might be a .38 S&W. It has other names that youll...
Ive been looking into getting a target/deer rifle before the end of the year and it's coming down to a Savage 10FP/10FCP McMillan in .308 or CZ 550 American in 6.5x55 Swede, .270WIN, or .308WIN. Ive been reading for the past few days and the 6.5x55 cartridge interests me being that it's widely...
I got it on 05/28/08 and shot it yesterday. There is a bit of pull after the sear engagement and it's keeping me from shooting accurately. I dont think it would be that big of a problem if the sear and hammer hook smoothed out. Ive only put 75 rounds through it and might take it out again today...
Handled the P-01 and SP-01 today and they felt good except that I had to change my grip position just to get my thumb to touch the slide release lever. I really want to buy one but may end up with a G19 or M&P9.
I need a few more things for my lower build and it's gonna be close to $400. A LMT upper is gonna be close to $650 and im wondering if I should have just gone out and spent close to the same amount of money for a prebuilt one.

I have a SIG P229R 9mm DAK and H&K P2000SK 9mm LEM and now looking for something "different". Ammo cost isnt a big issue because it wont be shot that often like my 9mm's or .22lr's. Double Tap sells the 135gr Nosler rounds which are popular from the reviews for $30 which is the same price as...
Im looking to buy my first .22lr rifle and was almost set on getting a 10/22 but I think I want a bolt action. 10/22 is still on the list though. So im searching around and lots of people recommend the 452 Training. It sells for $290 at my fun shop and $270 at Walmart. The 452 Lux is about $50...
I have a Sig P229R DAK 9mm and will be receiving a S&W M&P 9c today. I asked a couple of people over the weekend if they wanted to go to the range the next time I go and all were pretty excited. The only problem is that shooting (even 9mm) can get expensive so I want to get a .22 to get people's...
