    Paula Deen knives

I got her steak knives at Walmart. They are without blade serrations. I resharpened and they are the sharoest I have ever made a knife, however the blade dulls quickly. A steel helps prolong this. I resharpen using a Razor Edge Paper Wheel on my bench grinder. Great system.

    Progressive reloading

I wipe out the powder measure with a dryer sheet and blow out with compressed air. No problems. I load rifle on my RCBS progressive. Some steps can't be accomplished at once. I decap on the progressive, remove to trim and debur. Back on the progressive for the remaining steps. My press...

    Lubing Sizing press

I have a Lyman 45 and bought a Star in August. I love the Star for it's speed, smoothness, better fill with less mess, and lack of nose deformation that I was seeing on the Lyman.

    Should I start reloading/casting?

Casting is an investment in time and some up front $. I enjoy it as much as reloading and as much as shooting. That said, reload first using lead bullets and then cast. I would not buy a 2 cavity Lee mold because the 6 cavity are so much faster, especially for handgun rounds. I can make...

Back into reloading. some casting ???'s

Bomb Dropper, Wheel weights will meet most of your casting needs. Many people water drop to increase hardness but I wouldn't until you can understand the benefit; harder is not always better. You can easily fire 9mm bullets without water dropping. In another forum (The Cast Bullet...

    press question.

With the RCBS Pro2000 the primers do not contact the ram but drop down a tube into an awaiting cup. I replaced some of the aluminum tubing with poly tubing and directed it to a larger container on the floor rather than the cup. It is totally contained to contain the primer dust.

    Which iPhone Ballistics App?

I only own Bullet flight and I think it is a great program. It can easily show the range card and is customizable for different bullet weights. Another good feature is the GPS which pulls ambient atmospheric conditions at you location and factors it into the data.

    Which bullet puller?

I use the dillon inertia puller and I have broken it twice from tightening down too hard on .224 bullets. Dillon replaced it twice for free and suggested I strinke it on wood and allow it to bounce rather than concrete with a sharp stop. This applied only to .224. For larger numbers I use...

    Medic bag?

.38, cracking me up too! I am just visualizing the experience of telling a patient to hold still while I urinate on his eye to flush out a wound. Any time I have been in a stressful situation, I can't pee for the life of me. (That's why I hate those lines at the ball game).

New to Progressive reloading!!! Where do you sit?

I stand while reloading. It keeps me more alert. In the past I tried using a stool but the stool itself wasn't comfortable and felt I didn't have the leverage. To help the lower back pain I drink a lot during reloading. Just kidding!

How much does your gun club cost?

$150 per year and a $50 membership fee for the first year. This is a great club. I receive the gate code and can use the 25, 50, or 100 yd ranges, there is also a manual trap thrower, and automatic trap thrower (operated on Monday nights), an archery range, and a club house. It is a 40 minute...

Store Bought Cast Bullets and Lube

I never lubed store bought cast bullets. I simply loaded and shot them. If you have some where the red/ blue lube has worn off, I would recommend using the LLA.
