    Pocket holster for cargo pockets

Perhaps a Cargo Nemesis https://www.desantisholster.com/cargo-nemesis/?gad_source=1 would work? They also do well in larger coat pockets and can be cut-to-fit.

    J-Frame Pocket Carry

Me too. Love the Mika, a Pocket Max from El Paso Saddlery is much better for kickin' back. Great product, great service, ordered mine from El Paso, hated the wait but worth it. I would definitely buy the Pocket Max and Mika Round again.

Small gun sock for spare magazines?

I’ve “oiled up” the magazine and sprayed the inside of an infant/child's 100% cotton sock with silicon, slid in the magazine and stored in a silicon or holy gun sock with the pistol. Seems to work OK.

    J frame holster reccomendations?

If possible choose a few holsters to best mate your j-frame’s carryability with your wardrobe and carry preferences. The Mika Pocket is a great start and is not limited to front pants pocket use. Robert is a great guy whose products are well worth the money.

    642 Club Part Three

I’m unsure they’d have me, my username might be unwelcome. I began reading to find out why 442s work better for me than 638s, have learned a lot, and hope to build on it.

    642 Club Part Three

Pandemic Daze or I Can’t Believe I Read the Whole Thing Recently I’ve had a bit of extra time and spent it reading 10,000 or so posts in The 642 club Discussion. Although not a member I offer the following (unsolicited) observations; A good summary of the Club’s preferences was posted by...

The FN Model 1910 in .380 ACP has a bit of historical significance.

    1918 WWI Colt 1911

Yes you did warn me and I don’t regret a penny! The old girl obviously has seen a lot of history, and from her looks contributed to a bit of it. She continues to lead an interesting life, and still always shoots like a house on fire.

    1918 WWI Colt 1911

She sure is a beaut surjimmy! Each of the old ones does seem to have a distinct personality. If you do choose to shoot this jewel, you may wish to do so sparingly with full power ammo. The slides of these early versions weren’t hardened like later ones. I came across a M1911 (I forget which...

Why Wilson Combat included NORINCO 1911 in list of ...

Bubba went to a lot of trouble to show his ignorance. What did he hope to gain? I dunno. I did misremember my usage of this second hammer. It started following the slide between 500-600 rounds and was replaced around 650. Now this pistol is running like a sewing machine, eating...

Why Wilson Combat included NORINCO 1911 in list of ...

Maybe demand vs. supply and the shrinking buying power of the dollar also come into play. Less than 10% actually. The "Rehab Nork" was out of spec before Bubba tried to "fix" it. The result was a paperweight. I do thank Tuner for bringing it back to life. The moral is; always check...

lasermax on a smith J frame

A friend has Lasermax on a Smith 638. The laser is just below and to the right of the fixed rear sight and much closer to the bore axis than CT. POI = POA at 5 yds with 125g+P JHP without any adjustment. The grip could use a bit more swell IMHO. His has been shot regularly w/o failure...

    Norinco 1911 questions from newbie

I vote for keeping and fixing your Norinco. You’re not limited to finding a local gunsmith; use the internet and UPS to have a tougher-than-average tack driver made. Greetings Tuner! Yup, the Rehab Nork is still runnin’ strong! The second “new” hammer has seated in nicely and I look...

Tuner knows Norks inside out (literally!) His solution will be the best and cheapest in the long run.

    Norinco 1911A1 question

I've not seen a Norinco with the serial number on the outside of both the frame and slide. The eloctro-penciling drewzfoster refers to seems to be the norm.

How Do You Get Your Guns?

I find some, some find me. Some follow me home, I feed them and they stay. I’ll put a couple in a drawer and come back later and there’s several. 1911s are especially bad about this.

Who thinks Old Fuff should write a book?

I'd pay money for "The Collected Musings of Old Fuff". His knowledge is both broad and deep. I might buy a video of 1911Tuner if it only showed him from behind, or maybe just his hands. :neener: Both of these men have taught us a tremendous amount, we're very fortunate.
