wolf primers are very good primers.

if david tubb is using them you can bet they are as good as you can get.
put it somewhere that you dont want to be contaminated by lead. the most dangerous thing in terms of lead poisoning to reloaders is a tumbler.
no matter what you do to reduce the dust (dryer sheets/ papertowels etc) it will still coat everything around it with lead dust.
you can try synthetic...
i got some bulk 308 bullets from goldenwestbrass, i was weighing 100 at a time because the box broke open in shipment and i wanted to find out how many i lost. I found a few that were just the copper jacket, no lead in it. they looked perfect from the outside.
careful what you load and check...
thanks i think i will go get a single stage today, i dont think i will be reloading while watching tv anytime soon, no need to take a 50 cent chance on a 2500$ rifle + whatever it does to me, if i screw up or have a lapse in concentration.
have a question about the sequence of reloading and preparing cases.
if the case needs to be measured after its sized, at what point can you measure your cases when loading with a progressive press?
do you need to run all cases through a resizing die then measure then load it in the...
powder valley and wideners is cheaper than grafs even when grafs covers the hazmat charge (i think if you order 32 lbs they cover it)
both wideners and powdervalley will ship primers and powder in the same order and ship out fast. really great prices as well and generally keep most things in...

top brass
ordered some processed, sized, trimmed 308 brass and every one of them (ordered a few thousand) was perfect, no dents all polished and VERY nice, wish they were not in CO so i didnt have to pay tax.
ordered 5000 223 cases...
HOrnady lock and load press is really nice + you get 1000 free bullets right now. super easy to set up, incredibly easy to change calibers and really good customer support. there are tons of videos on youtube showing how to set it up and how to change calibers etc. you have to polish the 9mm...
From what i have read the IMR 4895 tends to have a bit higher pressures, i am not sure why. Also the H4895 is a slightly smaller granule (not sure that is the correct terminology) and is much less temperature sensitive. and easier to measure in a powder throw. I have not used either yet it is...
thanks for the help. ordered 32lbs of titegroup and h4895, mught try to pick up some varget if i can find it locally to try that out too.
cant wait to get it and get started
http://montanagoldbullet.com/ is great for pistol FMJ bullets and 55gr 223 fmj. reasonable prices and free shipping. and incredible quality.
http://www.wideners.com/ is good for all sorts of stuff, mostly mil spec new bulk bullets (free shipping on them)
for bulk brass, in order of...
montanagoldbullets.com postage included with montanagold
has some great prices on bulk orders. I dont think you will find anything really cheap unless you buy your components in bulk. powdervalleyinc.com and wideners.com has some good deals on powder and primers and wideners has great deals...
Thanks, I wont ever do business with Grafs. they sell your contact info to spammers without telling you, or offering an option to decline that "service". You have to specifically call them up and tell them not to sell your personal info. thats borderline criminal in my opinion when you are...
thanks for all the input. I had been leaning toward varget as my powder of choice because i do a lot of shooting in the winter (live at 9000') and the summer in the desert. the temp ranges from -20 to 100 or more sometimes. I would rather not have to think about the temp variable. is varget...
hmmm... i have a pound of varget and i will try that first. I will be using it in a gas piston AR 308, might not be the best powder for me then.
thanks for the info.
thanks for the suggestions.
I have read (dont know where) that varget is not so great with light weight 223 bullets, starts to get good at 70gr and above. is that info correct?
Ideally I would like to have 2 powders, one for pistols and one for rifles.
