I was looking at a Military.com slideshow and found the below rifle displayed.
It's a weapon used by a member of the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, 1st Battalion 5th Marines.
It appears to be a standard M-16 with a flattop receiver and suppressor, with some 100mph tape in desert...
