.30 Super or .30 Luger? *read first post*

The Blackhawk has a long barrel but also has that cylinder gap. I found this info at the Ruger forum: "My favorite 30 Carb load is 14gr of W-296 with a Speer 110gr jacketed round nose bullet. Chamber pressure is a modest 28.5k psi at about 1250 fps." Hope this helps.

SIG P210 Target - from my perspective

It's not really a "requirement", more a goal of getting the most accuracy per dollar. While my P210 was more accurate than most of the 9mm's I tested, it was not more accurate than my much cheaper Remington R1 The handguns that you list are great guns; let's look at their prices: HK P9S SG III...

SIG P210 Target - from my perspective

If I am testing for the intrinsic accuracy of the gun, I test sitting down at a bench with gun on a padded support. Sometimes the support is for the bottom of the grip, sometimes it's for the front of the gun - I can't tell which is better. With a good .22 with ammo it likes, 4 MOA is doable...

SIG P210 Target - from my perspective

Thanks for the replies. Combat accuracy (8 MOA) is the minimum that I was looking for. I suspect that very few combat autoloaders available today can do that. The P210 would not consistently do it for me and would often return 10-12 MOA groups. The new Python; priced in the same range as the...

SIG P210 Target - from my perspective

The recent thread "9mm Pure Target Gun" received several replies recommending the SIG P210 Target, and it got me thinking about my own experience. Some background: I've been shooting for more than 50 years and reloading for almost 50. I have owned and shot a lot of centerfire autoloaders. About...

Has anyone bought an SKS... Lately

I am glad to see that at least one person responded with "I bought one" Thanks CoalCrackerAl & American Fusilier

Has anyone bought an SKS... Lately

I see them for sale priced at entry level AR-15 levels So I wonder: what motivates the purchase - not bashing the SKS, just wondering

    Suggestions wanted for PCP please.

I suggest checking out the Umarex Notos It is compact and quiet - if that matters to you And it's cheap enough for you to buy an electric compressor also

I will take a closer look - it certainly looks like the barrel exterior is chrome plated Thanks for the advice

    Quality of less-famous handguns

My eperience with the Girsan MC P35: I picked a brand new one up this August. I like the BHP but am not willing (or able) to shell out genuine BHP money Apperance and functionally, I think the Girsan is first rate So before shooting it, I stripped it down and lubed it I was surprised to find...

The new Colt revolvers don't do it for me

I am glad to see so many responses. As I am nearly revolver-less at the moment I don't really have a horse in this race. But I have owned Colts, S&W and Ruger revolvers and enjoyed them all. As for me - if I had a choice between a new Colt and a gently used Trooper, Official Police or Police...

The new Colt revolvers don't do it for me

Am I the only one who finds the new Python and Cobra models ugly? Maybe not on their own, but put one beside any of their older models - including the Police Positive and Official Police - and tell me if you agree Notice the elegant curve of the trigger guard and the cylinder release on the old...

    Girsan Hi Power Magazine Safety

Thanks for all of the replies. I only had to move the trigger slightly out of place and the mag safety and spring popped out.

    Crosman 700 inconsistent velocity

This is just a swag but, check the tip on the CRS700-015 Hammer It's a delicate part and if it's broken, the gun will still work but at a lower velocity

    Girsan Hi Power Magazine Safety

So these are instructions for a Browning? I wonder if the Girsan is a different "Mark" ? I did drive the pin from the trigger, but the mag safety won't come out, even though it does move fore and aft I will try removing the entire trigger assem. Thanks

    Girsan Hi Power Magazine Safety

Trying to remove mag safety on a new Girsan I have watched the videos and I managed to drive the pin out - but the safety will not come out even when I try to pry it out (with quite a lot of force) Do I need to remove the trigger from the frame first?

    S&W 78/79G Likes out there??

Judging from the prices they fetch on the auction sites - there is plenty of love. Like the Crosman Mark I and II, they are simple and robust. Here's a similar design from Czechoslovakia:
