The ones I've seen do have the full-length tube, but they only hold 4 rounds. Mine holds 8. It is the same length as the newer model Marlins. In fact, it appears to accept some of the same accessories, such as sling and scope mounts. Most of the new rifles I've been looking at only hold 4...

Good idea, and thanks for the welcome! I'll tear it apart and post some pictures. I don't have an actual Marlin to compare it to. Pre-ban matters to ME since it holds 4 more rounds than the new Marlins. ;)

I recently came into posession of what I thought to be an old, pre-ban Marlin 30-30 lever action. Turns out it is a Coast To Coast "Master Mag" Model CC779 in 30-30, whatever that is. Can anyone please help shed some light on this rifle?
