Hi, I have a Colt 1908 25, and I purchased some new hard rubber grips. The grips fit fine, but the metal nut and knurl? stick out from the grip. Do I carefully file these down flush? and what works best for this to get a nice clean job. Thanks I will try and get a picture up later.

I took the action apart and cleaned. After putting it back together and checking the action, it looks like the (drop gate ?) spring does't allow the drop gate to lower far enough to allow a cartrige to load. The spring hits the arm for holding the bolt open.

Just purchased the rifle, Marlin 1894CB,never loaded for 45lc. I have alot of 231, and I picked up some 250 lead bullets. Anyone used the 231 powder with 45lc? I was going to get Unique, but only had 8lbs at the gun store.
