    Couple more oldies........

Colts....1910 Police Positive on right. 1907 Pocket Positive on left. Both chambered in very obsolete 32 Colt, long & short. Great shooters, pleasant and accurate, definitely hand caster/hand loader proposition. Shown with obsolete and modern ammunition, the newer green/yellow box is the...

An almost old, new to me

Was presented the opportunity to purchase one of the guns of my teens. It is a 1958 Colt Frontier Sixshooter, duotone, 22 Long Rife. I used one when I was a teenager and haven't seen one since until now. It is almost new, fired very little. Sure is purdy!!!!

    Don't get out, often

Couple old Colt D.A.. 1907 transition New Pocket/Pocket Positive on the left. 1910 Police Positive on the right. Smooth walnut stocks were an option in 1910 but I'm unable to verify these as being authentic Colt. Both are chambered in 32 Colt, Short & Long. Ammo can be a little hard to come...

    A couple light weights

They don't get used much, carried some. Colt Cobra, 1974. S&W Model 12 Airweight, early 60's. Both good shooters and easy to carry and they use the same holster and ammunition.

    Been a long time

Pulled this out of the back of....1981 Marlin 1894C, barrel shortened to 16 1/4", new higher front sight. Magazine shortened to modified button status. I haven't fired it in 10 years, when the road in dries enough so I don't get stuck, I'll shoot it. Until then maybe I can figure out how to...

    M94 Bolt?

Winchester 94, 30-30, 1973 vintage. Just your average beater, pick up, saddle scabbard gun. Used on a ranch it's entire life, mostly coyotes, badgers, a few mule deer and a couple elk. I came into it for a very good price and it works very well, accurate as expected, functions with cast and...

    Weaver "TIP OFF"

When did Weaver, or who ever owns the name, stop making the old style two piece left side hinged "Tip Off" scope mount/rings mounting system? I was digging thru some "stuff" and found a complete set up for a Savage 99, got me wondering, couldn't find them listed anywhere any more.

    New gun shop

Was out to the Base Exchange at Malmstrom AFB today doing a little advance Xmas looking and had to hit the Commissary. While I was contemplating a new pair of shoes the general announcing system came up with the announcement that there was a drawing for a SS Model 85 Taurus being held this...

    Browning B-92 Centennial

Have looked around some of the online auction sites and can't find a current listing. I'm looking at a B-92 Centennial Model, 1878-1978, in 44 Magnum. New in the box with everything intact. Supposedly only 6000 were made, all in 44, regular production included 357 but not many. Does anyone...

    Hard to find

Last spring I was in need of a magazine for a 1915 model Beretta 7.65 caliber semi auto hand gun. It was a war spoils gun from the Battle of the Bulge, 1944. The old soldier had gotten it from a Wehrmacht Feldwebel on Christmas Day 1944, but the magazine had been lost in the transaction...

    Lew Horton Model 624, maybe?

How does one identify a S&W Model 624 (no-) as to whether or not it might or might not be a Lew Horton gun? Are they marked in any way? The box and label don't seem especially note worthy. It is a SS, 3" RB, with red insert and combat hammer, finger groove S&W grips, smooth trigger, AHU S/N...

    Stevens Model 520

I seem to remember seeing the Stevens 520 used as a military fighting shotgun. I was first stationed on a destroyer in 1963 and I seem to remember them as being part of our boarding party equipage. Anyone else????? I think it was also one of the shotguns used for our basic training...

    327 Federal magnum

Taurus , Charter Arms and possibly S&W have stopped producing revolvers chambered for 327. I read that Federal is lowering 327 operating pressures to 36000, down from 46000. I emailed CA for confirmation and got a reply stating that they will not produce any more 327 revolvers.

    Hungarian M44

I was given a Hungarian M44. Has a hinged, folding bayonet. Looks good, cycles good, smooth bolt movement, bore looks to be chromed. Dated 1953. Is the bore chrome lined and how do these stack up to the Russian or other Communist Block M44's? I've never had a desire to own one, so I'm...

    Question for well traveled shooters.

In my trips around the various shooting/firearms websites, and I patronize only a small number, I have noticed something that raises a question. In the sites dedicated to a particular brand name but not associated with the company in any way I find only one site with a dedicated brand name...

    Marlin 336 44 Magnum

Trying to bring a 2nd year production (1964) Marlin 336 in 44 Magnum back up to full operating capabilities. Question: Will a new finger lever for a "T" model work in the 44 Magnum? Both have straight grip butt stock. Are all 336 levers the same on the internal working end? Keeping in...
