I have had the Dillon case feeder on my 550B for about 6 years, and I am very pleased with it. It allows me to concentrate on making certain every case has been charged with powder and that the bullet is carefully placed into the case mouth.
It requires a little patience, manual dexterity, and...

What is your cartridge overall length? It's possible that the cartridge it too long for your chamber and the bullet is "sticking" into the barrel lands.
Another possibility is that you don't have quite enough taper crimp. Can you measure the diameter of the cartridge at the case mouth...
"I'm going to guess from this that you aren't using one of the popular aluminum progressive presses"
Response: I'm using a Dillon 550B, and the magnetic base of the light is attached to the Dillon Strong Mount.
Here is an economical and efficient way to get light directly into the case. It will allow you to make certain that you have dispensed the correct amount of powder.
This is a small gooseneck lamp (7" flexible segment) with 20 LED, a magnetic mounting base, and an off/on switch. It will adhere...
Don't kid yourself; no one takes care of your equipment with the same degree of care and concern as you do. I don't want anyone else changing the settings on my reloading press. And I certainly don't have the time to stand there and watch every little thing they do (or don't do).

QUOTE: "Sometime several months back I read a thread on here about a home-made plate to extend the primer slide base plate to make it run smoother. I wish I could recall when and where to give proper credit, but it would take too long to find."
I think this is the link to the primer bearing...
Look on the label to see if the product contains petroleum distillates. If not, water would be the likely solvent.
I have had this happen to Frankford Arsenal Brass Polish (label states it does not contain petroleum distillates). I added warm water and shook to mix (and continued to add small...
This is not exactly what you asked, but I hope it will be helpful. I deprime the brass (using a Lee single stage press) and then clean it in a Hornady ultrasonic unit using Hornady Case Cleaner and water. The cases and primer pockets are cleaned to perfection. Dry the cases, and you are ready to...
This is the regimen that works best for me:
1) Deprime brass on a separate Lee single stage press (using Lee 9mm decapping/sizing die)
2) Clean brass in a Hornady ultrasonic cleaner (using Hornady One Shot Case Cleaner)
3) Rinse and shake dry in a towel; then dry (on a baking sheet in the...
