Just wanted to say that midway customer service is pretty damn good. I bought one of their tumblers at a gunshow 4 years ago(is actually says midway, not frankford arsenal) and a few weeks ago one of the wires sheered out of the motor. I sent it back to them($9 s&h) an they replaced it with a...
Has anybody tried this stuff that century is selling? I think it's the 110gr softpoint stuff.
Price: $79/1000
Shipping: $12.50 flat fee.
My reloaded 9mm costs me about $75 total so this stuff may end my bulk 9mm reloading... for awhile.
So.... anybody shot it?
VihtaVuori...9mm..115gr...1427fps...4"barrel...36300psi?????
Title says it all.
I just bought "The Complete Reloading Manual for the 9mm Luger" 2000 edition that lists a VihtaVuori 3N37 load of 7.9gr under a 115gr XTP with an OAL of 1.142" producing 1427fps out of a 4" barrel with...
I finally got to the range and chronoed some loads I've been working on today. Here's the data:
All loads were made using once fired WWB .40 brass fired from my G22, Winchester Small Pistol Primers and were all individually weighed.
Some the the load data listed here is interpolated...
Hi,
After 4 years of hard use the front night site on my 92fs inox somehow dislodged itself on my last trip to the range...
Needless to say, I never found it.
I've heard that replacement of the tritium capsule can be... tricky. Just how difficult a task am I looking at if I choose to do...
Anybody here done it? I've found a source of 152gr .308 pulled bullets and am considering whether or not the $30/200 is worth the trouble.
Another question: Will these place additional wear on the barrel? To be fired from a parts fal.
I might also pick up some of their tracers. :D ($20/200!)
I've been looking at some synthetic enfield mark IV conversion stocks at aim surplus. About 3 years ago I picked up a "Navy Enfield" that had been rechambered for .308 and I have NO IDEA if the synthetic stock will work. Ideas?
Hi,
I've been using Gun Scrubber alot for my rifle and beretta....
$7 for a 16oz can is starting to hurt. Anybody know of a good --cheaper-- alternative... besides elbow grease?:D
Has anybody here made a parts kit for their "Primary" pistol for minor breaks or perhaps for the event that handguns become [even more] politically unpopular? :scrutiny:
I've tried searching the topic... no luck.
What happens if you under trim a case? I hate trimming, so I was guessing that if the case was cut back enough (~2.005" vs recommended 2.015") that I would basically save having to trim the (milspec) brass every firing. Maybe shoot em twice before...
Has anybody tried using MSP or small rifle primers with small capacity cases with a slow burning, bulky powder and lightweight bullets? (thinking bluedot/800x/longshot, 9mm 90gr)
Seems like the pressure with max loads is far below redline. Hell, they might even reduce muzzle flash by burning...
All my local stores have is a browning micro. I'm looking for a bolt gun that isnt going to kill me if I carry it around all day on the hunt. (Im not very big)
I can handle the recoil of .308 though.
I like the looks of the Savage Scout... but have never handled one in person.
Any...
Anybody try out this powder in a .40? Load data shows 12grains can push a 135gr bullet to 1480 fps..... That just smokes power pistol. (no pun intended ;))
Shame cant use it to similar effect in 9mm.....
Just got back from some quality range time with my FAL.
First mag= 2.5 inch group @ 100 yards. (SA surplus)
By my 5th mag I was getting groups about twice that of the original group with the rounds going all over the target.
After 100 rds I let the gun cool (was uncomfortable to hold)...
I seen aimsurplus's south african for $133/980 :), and various vendors offering "super accurate aussie!! limited supplies!!!", etc etc for $140-170/800. :barf:
Dealer named JGsales in AZ has some indian stuff for $70/500 (iffy)
My fal likes the aim stuff but I know shipping is gonna kill...
