    Charles Daly 12 ga question

I acquired as part of a trade a Charles Daly SS "tactical" 12 ga. The gun shoots nice and I actually like it as is...That being said, are their any accessories-- ie stocks, pg, etc out there --especially as CD is no more?

    Best AK-47 for the money?

IMHO at sub $400 the WASR is a great value-- as long as you get to inspect it first. I bought one right before the "panic" for $400 even-- the guy let me shoot it first (FTF local sale)-- it was pie plate accurate at 100 yards from a sitting pos, so I was ok with it...I would still have it...

Guess What Fellas? I'm Not Buying An AR in 5.56. I'm Holding Out for A 6.8 SPC

Your opinion, but the A2 I carried in the FMF had zero issue..POA/POI..The sights? Many people--POGs and other services (?) never taught the proper adjustment of the irons, but I can tell you that my beat up loosy goosey A2 had no issues..and I never put a scope on it-- diodn't have any problems...

    Tuloammo in 223

Silver Bear is steel cased but zinc washed (I was told), but I agree- Silver Bear 62gr HP runs flawlessly through my 18" CMMG- it does have a chrome lined barrel though..Have shot a couple boxes of Barnaul with no issues though...Not a snob ammo wise, but I have shot mainly Monarch 55gr SP...

    saiga 410

Dove and quail? Why use a 12 or a 20? I have hunted dove since a tot with a .410 (I am now 37)-- and it seems to not be too obsolete to get my limit daily.

Time to stock up on .223 Ammo?

I shoot Silver Bear..$3.95 or less a box...I try to get 2-3+ boxes per week....So far I am ok...

Any Tikka 223 shooters out there?

1:8 should be fine for a 55 grain-- you probably would have better luck with the 62-69grain stuff, but not sure.

How does a water cooled machine gun work?

Try that with most of today's guns...sad to see the state of British firearms these days.. Good find, I remember reading that sometime back but had forgotten it until you brought it up..

    I am probably losing it,...BUT.. (AR15 project)

What started out as an idea to build a "ghetto" .22LR AR, has sidelined me on another plan to build a useless (but maybe fun?) AR.. First the upper-- http://akpartskits.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6_17&products_id=472 Then this--...

Blackthorne AR parts-- BUT..worth a try?

probably so-- Interesting concept, not sure about the fit and finish-- I have a cheap Plum Crazy lower compete that I am looking to put the cheapest upper complete on--this one wasn't it, I actually was looking at their .22...

Blackthorne AR parts-- BUT..worth a try?

Probably useless as I doubt I could fire fast enough to take advantage..but maybe a "gatling" type trigger crank would make this neat.. Its a gamble as Blackthorne has a spotty-- err less than good rep... Any ideas...

What do you keep loaded in your 5.56/.223 AR?

I actually keep most mags with Monarch 55grain SP, but I do have 3-4 of Silver Bear 62 Grain HPs...just because..

    Why a 410 shotgun.

.410? I used nothing more than an old Western Auto (?) single shot BO .410 for dove and quail until I was in 7th grade... Still a good shooter and great for kids --and adults to keep sharp on.

    Beretta .45 Storm Carbine

Really? I use an AR15 on Javelinas, and Either a AR or a WASR (AK) and a knife on feral hogs and boars...never use a pistol. I have even done knife only (with the help of dogs) hunts on them and have never been hurt (Except for falling ) and never felt undergunned. 75/77grn Blackhills have no...

    CMMG Bargain bin %

1/9 should be good for most stuff you will fire-- 55 and 62 grn..Some have said 1/7 doesn't work on light <50 stuff, but I have searched and most people say it will handle the 40-45 grains with no issue-- I got mine w/ 1/7 because I love the 62 Grain Silver Bear stuff, and also want to shoot up...

    CMMG Bargain bin %

I got mine earlier this year-- $648 delivered-- that includes $25 hand select-- mine is an 18", 1/7" hard chromed, government profile...I love mine, and after a couple thousand through it- -including a bunch of Tula steel and Silver Bear, Mine has had almost no issues aside from a crappy C...

are the uppers on CMMG's bargain bin rifles used?

Mine appears to be 100% new-- I paid the $25 for hand select, so that may be the difference, but to be fair, my bud bought a $599 M4 clone, and it looked just as new as mine-- so the $25 may have not gotten me anything extra..

    the CETME

Its probably an ok one if its a true Spanish CETME..Be wary of Century builds, although if you get the chance to inspect them first, you can get serviceable ones. I wish I would have picked up a few in the cheapy 80s-90s-- but if his is good and you can get in the $500 or lower, jump on it. CTD...
