    Moving Companies and Firearms

I decided to go with Three Movers after a lot of research and discussions about my concerns, especially regarding the secure transport of my guns in their safe and the insurance aspect for each piece. They were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that my safe was not accessible during the move...

    Light mount

This improvised solution has held up well for me, and I haven't had any issues with it. I found some useful insights at https://leds.to/ since they have a lot of articles on different topics when it comes to lightnings. With their help and following their advices I found the perfect solution...

    Light mount

I had the same problem with my Surefire. Couldn't find a perfect mount for the 0.807" size. What worked for me was getting a 1-inch mount and adding a strip of rubber padding for a tight fit.

    M1 Lifespan?

Wait. What? They wear out? Garands? My Garand is wearing a barrel that is darker than a cave at midnight and I can still ring the steel at 300yds. Once every couple of years I have to tighten up the stock fit but that's pretty much it. Now if your interested in serious competition, a...

So, how do you talk your wife into allowing you to buy another rifle?

She knows my buying habits. I want something, I research it to the nth degree, I agonize over spending the money, I research it some more, I make a choice, I agonize over the price, I either get distracted by some bright shiny object and lose interest or buy it. She has a long time to get...

    Refinishing an M1 Garand

My Garand looked like something that was worked hard and put away wet when I adopted it. I decided to leave it that way. The metal finish is ok, no rust or pitting, but a tired aged parkerized finish. The wood is scarred and looks like something that was used hard. I felt that these were...

    Dan Wesson 15-2 357 part

If you look carefully you'll see a hole in the frame where a stop that keeps the cylinder in place when open resides. I super glued mine in place over 30 years ago when it fell out and it hasn't budged since.

    Unusual case separation?

Innovative, thanks. When I replied last night I said shoulder when I meant to say belt. I was thinking of the junction where the belt meets the body. Any thoughts?
