    10/22 :/

    10/22 accuracy discussion continued.

I had one. I never saw what the hype was about the 10/22. mine was not very accurate, and pretty picky about the ammo it would cycle reliably. I must have had a bad example. But I would prefer a Marlin 39A anyday :)

    308 vs 30-06

^^^ I think he was referring to bullet weight. Honestly in my opinion flip a coin. The cartridges are very similar. either one you will choose you will be happy with.

    SR9 issue

Did the bullet make it out of the barrel? try getting a wooden dowel and putting it in the muzzle end of the gun and try giving it a few good hits, and see if that will loosen the case.

Wanna Play? Which would you pick?

.22LR--Ruger MK111 9mm- CZ 75B-- Yes you can find them right at $500 new .45--- Rock Island 1911 With that being said buying used always gets more gun for your money if you know how to look.

    Semi-auto 7.62 recommendations?

in the $600 range I would say a Saiga 308, or a Romanian PSL (has Iron Sights) that can still be used when scope is on. if money is not a concern, I would say Springfield M1A

    WASR and/or Saiga owners needed.

in my opinion the saiga is well worth it. It should be more accurate, just as reliable, new manufacture not built from a parts kit, and made in russia. that being said the WASR are kinda rough around the edges so to speak, but they get the job done.

    Talk My Dad Out?

you can always introduce the idea of the m44, incase he is not aware of them. but i wouldn't force it :neener: the jungle carbines with still be fun as well, and you possibly could still find some surplus ammo at a gun show, or private sale for a decent price. :D
  18. 3

M44 -- which country is desired?

get an m-39 or any finnish variation if you are looking for accuracy, or try to find an ex sniper 91/30
  19. 3

Okay now I am really confused (shipping smokeless cartridge arms to your doorstep?)

It because most of the Finnish Mosins were built on receivers that were made before 1899, which make them antique, therefore they are able to be shipped right to your door without a ffl or C&R
