Here I am using the Lee Loader to reload some 45 colt cartridges with black powder and some of my own cast bullets. I think the Lee loader is a decent little setup for someone who does not want to invest in a full loading bench especially now with ammo being so hard to come by.

Just a couple of shots from my old iron sides kit I screwed up and overcharged the load which is probably why it was recoiling so much. I thought I was using about 100 grains of BP but it was closer to 150.
Does anybody know what is the legal limit for shipment of BP? and what is the legal limit for home sporting use to have on hand? Nevada if it makes a difference? I thought it was 25 pounds?
I pulled a failed 45 colt BP cartridge that went through a flood powder was just slightly damp but that was enough over the years to make the primer fail.
I built this about 6 years ago from juniper and sinew backed to increase performance and prevent breakage.Juniper is very knoty and sluggish so the sinew backing makes a big difference even this light coating
