Taking a quick trip from Denver to Kansas City tomorrow to go pick up a car, and driving home. I am planning on taking my CCW pistol along (obviously as checked baggage on the flight). Anything weird I need to know about flying into KC? Both Missouri and Kansas honor my CCW, and I don't...
GREAT pistol !
My Grandfather had one he'd loan me whenever I wanted growing up. That thing shot better than I ever could. My Uncle has it now, years later, and he won't part with it no matter how much I offer him. Of course I'd never sell it if the tables were turned. Get to shoot it once...
um . . . . NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!
S&W has to do away with this before I will buy another . . . and I love all of my old S&W's many over 100yrs old . . .
When I read the intial post, I thought of the words of Elmer Keith. With big bullets at moderate velocity (it's not going 4000 fps) you can "eat right up to the hole" . . .
Have fun with your "big medicine" . . .
I agree that a 12 won't kick much different from a lighter 20, if you are looking for a great home defense shotgun at a bargain price, it's tough to beat Bud's. Have it shipped to your local FFL and you'll probably be in it $250.
My wife, who didn't grow up around guns, loves to shoot our...
Gander Mountain is typically priced a little too high around here . . .
I typically order online from home, and have it shipped to my local Gun Store. I pay too much for the FFL transfer there, BUT I feel strongly about supporting my local gun store and the weekly chats with the owners and...
You'll love your 21.
My has become an old friend.
And don't me wrong, I am a fan of my 1911's, my 45 Colts, my 44 Specials, etc . . . but I choose to carry the 21 when I am on duty.
The 21 makes the trip to the range EVERY time. I shoot it as well as any of my other autoloaders...
I'm no expert, but I heard it the other way around . . . JMB designed the pistol without the THUMB safety, and only added it to appease the Army Board.
+1 on Cocked and Locked.
I think you "done" good. Let them know what they are dealing with, while ready to do just that.
Most retreat when they realize they are no dealing with the typical everyday "sheep-ple".
Glad to hear it ended well.
I have a Swiss diopter target sight for mine that brings out the sniper in me. This thing isn't the prettiest K31, but it will shoot lights out. Makes me look like a hell of a marksman, until I let whomever I'm with take a turn. Shoots 1/2 MOA with GP11 surplus ammo. Build like a Rolex...
Respectable, polite, and well spoken Citizens exercising their Constitutional Rights in my neck of the woods are GAINING the respect of their local law enforcement personnel.
I've even heard that in El Paso County, Colorado, when you receive your CCW permit you get a congratulatory letter...
Pretty easy to conceal . . . . but then again I fit in this group . . .
:D
Okay, like 250lbs plus . . . .
Anyway, like trying to conceal anything, a lot of it depends on the holster you choose and what you wear . . .
