Here in NJ the folks in the Assembly are trying to pass a ban on all mags that hold more than 5 rounds. While many rifles take 5 round magazines, this would effectively disarm semi automatic pistol owners throughout the state.
Saddly, NJ has very perverse laws regarding "defacing guns". This law appears to be written in such a way that altering mags might well violate that provision.
If it were to pass, I am thinking a S&W .357. That said, I am hoping it will not come to that
I live in New Jersey (I know, I should move, but given that moving is not an option) and I just discovered that some geniuses in the State Assembly are trying to pass a 5 round limit on pistol magazines (AB 3664).
Based on a quick perusal of the internet, it looks to me like there is no such...
McBrides is OK if you know what you want but if you are not certain, they will definitely push the most expensive model on you. Red's South may be expensive but I have always found the staff there to be knowledgeable, helpful and very straight forward. Even if you don't end up buying there...

What I am a little unclear on is what HGUNHNTR was referring to when he said:
If I obey the laws as they are on the...
I am afraid that I have no choice in the matter.
Texas to NJ, its a big change in a lot of ways.
That said, isn't there someway that I can get a permit? If ever I needed my guns, its going to be in NJ.
I don't want to carry concealed, I just want to keep them in my safe as I currently do.
For job related reasons, I may soon have to move to NJ. I have read about NJ's extensive gun laws and I will certainly abide by them once I am there.
What I do not understand, however, is what I need to do before I move to legally bring my two handguns into the state. Is there a form to...
I was cleaning my CZ 75 SP01 today and when it came time to reassemble the pistol I was unable to get the spring and the guide rod back in front of the barrel.
I am completely baffled by this. I have cleaned the gun on numerous previous occasions with no problems but this time, it is as if...
