If guns are the real problem....

My question to liberals when they talk about "assault rifles" is "Why is it when you see a man walk into a gun store, he subjects himself to back ground checks in some places, a waiting period, he needs to complete a federal document regarding his purchase, you think, There goes a mass shooter...

    M1 Carbine - Short cycling?

I worked on a GI carbine a long time ago for a similar problem, what I found was a fair amount of shaved brass packed tightly in the notch (for lack of a better term) that the extractor rests in when the bolt is closed, until I cleaned the brass out, the bolt would not go completely into...

Milsurps at the public gun range

I once had a man try to argue with me about my FN49, He was quite convinced that it was an M1 Garand, and was not willing to accept any other answer.

Proposed bill would let Ohioans carry concealed firearms without a permit

There was a permit-less carry bill introduced , (I believe in 2013, ) it never made it out of comity, I watched it for about a year and it never moved. I live just outside of Cleveland, and yes it is a dump.

Can you identify this long gun?

I enlarged the pic to get a better view, it seems as though there is either a mag well or ejection port on the bottom just in front of the trigger guard, now I am curious as well.

Can you identify this long gun?

I don't know what the gun is, but in my opinion, that small box mag. is way too far forward, I mean if the bolt was long enough to pick up a round from there, it could no way move back far enough to eject the spent case.

    Unusual Spent Bullet I Found

It was a squib, driven out with a cleaning rod. I can say that with confidence because I have a bullet with the exact same marks, that I personally drove out at the range. Tom.

SX3 burst barrel, anyone see this before?

Here is a thought from an old truck mechanic, who, admittedly has no experience with this type of choke tube. Could an over torqued tube cause a fracture in the threads at the point of the last thread contact, eventually causing it to crack in a ring around the tube...

    Dummy question about swords

I've got a claymore that in no way has a sharp edge, but at 9 pounds with a good two handed swing, it will part your hair clear down to your belly button.

    Strange tare in paper

Granted this is pure speculation, but, In as much as the tares are in the same vertical grid line, and in the same direction, I would be inclined to believe they were a result of a flaw in the paper.
